First i've heard of it just now, along with this short clip, and the following description:
Hundreds of thousands of people went into the streets of Moscow showing his disagreement with the current situation in the country. There revolution! Official authorities is no more!
Anyone have any more info?

Those protests are almost everywhere. It actually matters how governments are able to cover it up. For example recently in Israel

Equation for shakiness of government:
Mass dissent*number of protesters*popular support*international support/size of army* loyalty of army * ability of dictator to bargain*secret police - Number of bombs dropped by NATO*Number of army units that defect.
If the quotient is negative, Dictator topples, if positive Dictator stays in power. I'd say Putin wins this round since popular dissent happens to be amongst the young, not to mention how good the Russians have been at destroying dissent violently in the past.

yeah, they sure crushed that October Revolution good, didnt they? Who was Lenin to think he could win?
oh, wait... he did.
russian governments are notoriously short-lived, the only other country i can think of that has changed governmental structure more times then they have in the last 2 centuries would be china.

It was just a huge laser show held during the Moscow City Day this weekend. The traffic jams afterwards were pretty epic though...

Lulz Occam's razor FTW! I was about to get my tin foil hat out because I saw nary a news story on the half a dozen sites i checked. Some people seem a little to eager for the world to revolt it seems.
Last I checked I thought people loved Putin and his Russian cowboy, photo op, tiger wrestling ways. (Could be wrong, but he seems rather popular domestically)
