Some of you may know me around here I love the game but also love the forums and I do see alot of people moaning about CCP, myself sometimes included. Here are some thoughts about Eve and CCP.
Nex Store
I think the Nex store was a next step feature that alot of other MMOs have, albeit cheaper than Nex I do agree on certain Items being out of the reach of others as is in life. If you cannot afford a Ferrari but you can afford an Audi thats not such a bad thing just like alot of us cannot afford a monacle they are there for the rich player to buy if they want one and for the less rich to aspire to buying if we so wanted.
Bots
I understand that the process of finding out legitimate botters is hard and so some people from the community are doing that job for them and doing a very good job indeed. I guess within this kind of world that getting the decision 100% correct has to be common place because banning innocents looks bad on the GM and the company and could result in players leaving the game meaning less income for CCP.
I believe CCP are fighting this war and not doing bad but what i think should be a nice idea is to have a webpage of shame and place every banned char name on it for others to see so the community can see just how hard CCP is working on winning this war.
Incursions
Best thing in Eve for me right now, great fleets & making great friends also learning how real fleets work and gaining valuable knowledge on fighting. But some people are ruining the gameplay by firing on the structures on contested sites and winning because of them not doing the site as it should be done. I reported a fleet of guys doing this and about 5 minutes later I got a GM reply to the petition they then disappeared from local. If this is the work of CCP then I congratulate you greatly.
Empire
1. Not actually done anything in empire recently but after running incursions and living in a C3 for a good amount of time I believe lvl4 missions to be too easy for the isk they can generate.
2. The "law" on suicide ganking miners should be much more strict in my opinion. Miners are vital to the ship and module market and should have more protection from gankers. Killing a solo miners hulk is a big loss right now at around 200 million isk. The only thing this does is anger the player and literally drive them away from the game which im sure CCP does NOT want. I personally know a few 1 man mining fleets using about 4 chars 3 hulks with 1 Orca. How is it right that he be killed in High sec when hes harmless and actually doing great things toward the ship market. I think miners should have much much more powerful concord protection in belts.
Low Sec
Boring and full of meat heads - thats pretty much it. Noone is even doing PI there really...
Null
The race for the most moon goo carries on...should there be more to Null than fighting over moon goo? I think so yes.

+1 From me as well.
In particular about Incursions. I really think they need to create some mechanics to counter act this obvious exploit. Just make the structures industractable or something. Its unfortunate that this wasn't handled in the most recent patch, just means we have to live with it that much longer.
Totaly agree with low sec. Its become a complete bore. There is so little value in being their for any reason, even PvP is mostly dead. Its like an entire part of the game that serves no purpose at all.
Null Sec as well has become a stopping ground for massive fleets. While I find its still possible to carve out a temporary piece thanks to wormholes, the alliance game is so dominant that wormholes have completetly replaced the need to go into null sec for the unaffiliated player. I love the SOV mechanic but if your not involved in it, null sec really serves very little purpose in the game. In particular given that level 4 missions yield so much better rewards, going their for profit is not even a valid motivation.

Low Sec Boring and full of meat heads - thats pretty much it. Noone is even doing PI there really...
I've recently started an experiment where i moved to low sec with a handful of bpc's, a couple of mining lasers and a ceptor. The idea was to try and promote the benefits of how much you could earn and that 'its not that bad'.... So far, as a 'clued up' casual player with 2 accounts running... i've made... not alot

while I am sick of the people whining, they do have a point, but not as much as they make out, as always EVE is a work in progress, it changes all the time, there are bound to be times when they do not get things right..
The important thing is that players stick with the game when things don't quite go right, CCP are not stupid, they know when something has not worked, even if the Logs show nothing

I don't think miners should get more protection though. Signature removed for not being EVE related. Zymurgist |

Never really understood why people have such a problem with posting as an Alt, there are a lot of hot headed *******s on this forum I would rather not be exposed to while being the game so ya.. i post with my alt.

Firstly CONCORD offers consequences, not protection, also i dont see there EVER being a shortage of Veldspar
Secondly, losec is a great place to find fights, fair or otherwise, and i'm sure that plenty of people run PI there. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - EVE: TESTING GROUNDS FOR WoD & DUST SINCE 2011 |
