Edited by: Herr Wilkus on 05/09/2011 23:36:38 While the organizations they run vary in size and scope, their autocratic leadership styles since 2009 are quite similar, and are leading to similar results. Massive FAIL in 2012. Both leaders equally deluded about the future.
Obamacare: "This new socialized medicine system will be awesome. Everyone will be covered, but don't worry, if you are a bitter clinger that likes your current health care plan, you can keep it." (LOL)
Incarna: "This is going to be the total sci-fi package. Rumors of MT are overstated. No plans for non-vanity MT"
Obamacare: You'll love it so much that failure to participate could land you in jail for up to 5 years. US Constitution? Supreme Court? What, me worry?
Incarna: You'll love the CQ (and NeX) so much, you'll never miss the more practical, convenient hangar view. In fact, we'll take it away completely. That will teach the naysayers who refuse to pay for monocles.
Obama on US Economy: "We could fix it, only if we had more money to spend (on more well-connected bankrupt solar panel manufacturers). Hey, Bernanke, lets borrow more money from the Chinese and then debase the US Dollar some more.
Hilmar on EVE: "We could fix it, if only we had more money to spend (buy our monocles and devalued bulk PLEX, plz."
Unemployment in Jan 2009: 7.7% Obama in 2009: "Now our administration is 'pivoting to the unemployment issue'" Obama in 2010: "Check out my new jobs plan when I get back from my fabulous vacation." Obama in 2011: "Check out my new jobs plan when I get back from my fabulous vacation." Unemployment today: 9.2%
EVE Devs: No new spaceships until 2013. "18 months"
Hilmar: "Watch what they do, not what they say." Large # of Eve Players: Unsubbing, see ya on the other side.
Obama: "I'd vote for myself. I think I've made a lot of good decisions." Gallup Approval: 38% Gallup Disapproval: 52% Small Business owners: C-Ya, moved to Texas - (where 50% of all new private sector US jobs were created last year)
Obama is a one-term president, and he probably knows it. He can't win an election on the black vote alone. The US will survive and Obama will be remembered as an unqualified 'affirmative action' president.
Can Hilmar keep CCP afloat through 2012? EVE cannot sustain itself on fanboi subscriptions/monocles alone.
EDIT: When I say 'going down in flames' I don't mean literally. I mean metaphorically. Please don't ban me like Helicity/send the Secret Service after me.

I'm making a clever comparison between the soon-to-be-unemployed/bankrupt management of EVE and the soon-to-be-fired management of the USA.
You are pretty thick if you couldn't pick up on that.
But mainly I want plenty of angry subjects on the front pages of the forums before they are frozen.

Edited by: N1gella Laws0n on 05/09/2011 23:55:31 I get it. You want insurance companies to deny you medical care to make profit instead of a government denying you medical care to pay for fire trucks. That's fine, you could have the freedom to choose who denies you your healthcare, but you don't seem to want freedom.

Are they even doing that anymore? Curious to see if they are even bothering with forum modding anymore.
On the other hand, this forum has 'died' once before. Based on the 'quality' of the new forum, this one might be with us for some time.

I saw one applying the concepts and past lessons of economics to a situation that began 20-25 years before he took office. BTW I'm Canadian and well educated about the current situation if you guys weren't ultra conservative in how you allow business to act you wouldn't be as ****ed as you are right now. But I suppose it's easy to spend more than you have and blame somebody else right? Also with your current health care system and change in population age distribution your pay to win health care is ****ed to.
I saw the other try to sell barbies to grown men. I'd call him a moron but I'll assume it's just him using us to beta test for WoD.

Yeah, because Obama is all about spending less than we have. Last I checked it was the Tea Party/Republicans that were proposing to balance the budget, and Obama/Dems obstructing in favor of unrestricted spending. Texas is 'supposedly' an unregulated ****hole, yet for some reason its the only part of the US where large numbers of private sector jobs are created. California and Illinois....on the other hand.....
But keep on living in your dream world.

You mean Canada? We didn't let the banks do something stupid. BTW in the last major depression you guys killed government spending and it turned out to be the worst choice possible. I'll make this very simple for you. The government is spending money on what? Mostly wages for people and products produced by people. The banks loan money to other people. If the banks stop loaning money and the government stops giving people money the people become poor. The people don't have money so the people don't buy things then everybody is ****ed. If the government spends money to keep the people from going broke it plans on recovering the money in the future and causing less harm than it would if it let everybody starve.
TL:DR Your solution to Americans being broke is to give Americans less money.

Not going to take a position on the OP but I would love to know where the racism comes in...please explain for those of us that don't speak your particular dialect.
Was it the term "black vote" or "affirmative action" that put it over the top in your mind? Is any time you speak of the American president in negative terms, because he is black, racism?
If American blacks condemn a white American president is it also racism? Does political affiliation matter? What happens if a white leftist speaks ill of a black conservative? What if it is left on left or right on right?!?!
Explain please...
Thank you

First off, Obama will likely be reelected because his opponents have failed to come up with a candidate who stands a ghost of a chance of getting the undecided vote.
Second off, fail comparison is fail.

lol wat?
The whole crisis was caused because republicans refused to balance the budget by raising taxes or cut spending to America's biggest expenditures (medicare, military) |

To all the 'fantasy-based' Obama fans who claim that 'Obama wins by default' because Republicans have no chance:
When things are bad enough - for long enough - it really doesn't REALLY matter who the Republicans nominate.
Why all the East-Coast NYT-editorial panic about Rick Perry? Liberals will never admit the obvious - that Obama is just plain wrong - simply illiterate when it comes to business/economy issues. But even 'libruls' know, deep down, that Obama is historically weak, and getting weaker every day. John Boehner owns the President's ass in a way Gingrich never could do back in the 90's.
But Obama is even weak enough to lose to another 'Texas cowboy', except this one actually attended Texas A&M instead of the Ivy League.
We can't really compare educational background, however - as Obama STILL hasn't released his own university grades/writings. Kind of suspicious for one so 'brilliant'. My guess? He was a 'D' student, riding the affirmative action/diversity gravy train all the way into Harvard. He's scared to release them, like every other US Presidential candidate IN HISTORY!!
Oh, and an interesting fact - Rick Perry used to be a Texas Democrat. And he actually backed Al Gore for a presidental run back in 1988. Going to be hard to paint him as an ideologue.

HAHA. Thats funny. You've got it backwards. Maybe YOU don't care - but 6 months out of the year I live in Europe, 2004 and 2008 elections inclusive. I read the papers.
Trust me, Europeans care about American politics. Last I checked, most of them know about a previously obscure hockey-mom governor named Sarah Palin.
Its Americans that don't give a crap about European politics, and proudly couldn't name a single EU head of state.
