So yeah, it's been ages since a new ship class was added. This is a spaceship game not The Sims 3 Space Station Adventures... give us new ships CCP!

Didn't you hear? EVE isn't about spaceships anymore? It's about badly-rendered people in badly-rendered shacks.

No new people bought the game that I can blow up because of this =(. They r good at making spaceships. If I want to virtually walk around, I can go play a game where the makers specialize in this. I guess that's what all the people who decided against buying the game thought when they saw the new expansion. NUCLEAR WINTER 2012 FTW!

actually ya, it sorta is
im not joking or being sarcastic either, CCP's end goal and dream this whole time was to make EVE into a sci-fi sim full with everything in a universe and Incarna is a huge step towards all RPers and the countless people over the years that felt that they couldn't connect to EVE when they only had a static picture for an avatar
It's funny that everyone jokes about it being barbies when Incarna and all of the dressing up and fashion stuffs can be seen as a big ploy to the female player base, which according to the last number CCP gave out was only 5% of all EVE players...I'd be willing to deal with the barbie stuff if we could make it closer 50/50 and i dont have a need or requirement to use it very much.
Admittedly the deployment thus far has been crap but walking around is a new thing for CCP and they like being on the bleeding edge of innovation so hence all of the "using us as beta testing guinea pigs" and not licencing any tried and true ambulation engines. (And you can't really argue that they shouldn't be taking risks like that cause as far as i can tell from the stories they told the creation of EVE was seen as a big risk in much the same way to the initial investors to CCP in the late 90s)
Now that their innovation push is coming to a close we can hope to expect better things this winter for the existing content as some where this late November (iirc) marks the end of :18months: as mentioned by Nathan in devblog comment thread or something (i cant be arsed to dig it up).
As for simple bugs getting out...ya they screwed up...it's more inspiration to me to try to get hired by CCP to fix them myself hehe
(If i ever do get in expect to see some kind of dramatic introductory devblog about how im going to hold a never ending sleepless crusade against bugs)

I'll give them the innovation, but 95% of the current player base focuses on the ships and not the avatars. Since that is the case, would it not make more sense to add at least 1 ship for each race an expansion? o.O
Keep the players you have already happy while adding small changes to attract the "space barbie" crowd would seem to make more sense if you ask me. Ignoring your current subscribers for any amount of time in order to maybe attract another sect of customers is ludicrous. This just leaves the current players with a sense of abandonment and which can be seen echoed over and over again on every other thread it seems now days.

From what i can gather the fact that they are also developing DUST and WoD at the same time has stretched them thin, too thin to keep any realistic time frames to get anything done if they had balance their teams among everything. So they went with dedicating to Incarna since the people that actually wanted it were getting fed up waiting after so many years

What kinda ships you would like? Superduper capitals to counter super capitals? Super titans? Mega exhumers? Hyper haulers? New shuttles?
Im happy with shipbase as it is. Supercaps should be inbounded and compensated with Quafe drinks.

we had two contests for shiptypes one of which resulted in the tornado and the other I think an Amarr ship.
Those would be added to the game, and have counterparts in the other races. But that's not even foor SOONTM anymore I think. -

Really nothing would invigorate the game better than dozens of new ships of all sizes, and new modules.

No, it's the big hole outside your quarters.
Oh, wait, that explains why you parked your spaceship in my toilet! I bet you also don't know what the three seashells do!
