I know I may get flamed alive here, but I was given a very rare Guardian-Vexor cruisier and it is never used, just kept nicely polished in my hanger, anybody have any idea on how much it is worth as I may sell
I know it will be worth very little to some but alot more to others due to extreme rarity, so a price would be difficult to quantify. But any knowledge of pricing on these would be appreaciated, esp a reserve price.
I believe only 50 of these were built is this true Any info greatly appreciated. |

It is true that only 50 of them were built. Fewer than that exist now though due to destruction.
I couldn't tell you what the market price is for one, but I would *guess* around 200-250m.

I used to have one, sold it for 105mil like just a week after they were released. Regretted it ever since. And i heard that when i sold mine, 7 had been popped -----------------------------------------------

Its a fine tech I cruiser, but still 'only' a tech I cruiser. However, it is extremely rare. Thus, it has value for rarity.
How much extra value for rarity is open to question. I'd ask 100mil+ if I was selling one. Maybe you could get even more, maybe you'll have a hard to getting 20mil for it.

The last guardian Vexor that sold on the forums here went for 250m+. Limited run BPCs for the Guardian Vexors were handed out as a reward to the winners of a NPC Corporation mining event in 2004 (or was it 2003 - can't remember). Anyway, the total number of runs was 50, so there were at one stage 50 GVs in the game.
Currently, the count is down to around 40 (a few were popped in the meantime). Needless to say, the value of a GV as a collectors item will increase even further over time.
Viewed as a regular cruiser, the only advantage (to some a disadvantage perhaps!?!) is the fact that the GV has a launcher hardpoint in lieu of one turret hardpoint. Other than that, its your regular run-of- the-mill vexor cruiser. No different ship skin color or anything. Though it IS nice to take it for a spin through Yulai on a Sunday afternoon.
As with the "normal" Vexor, you should use drones with this baby to be most effective (and fit small blasters too!).
My advice to you: Hold onto it.
/me pats his GV lovingly and pans the camera around it in the hangar.

Thanks for all your replies, it was nice to get some history on this ship class and some idea on its value. I now think I will hold onto it, I would feel abit guilty selling it as it was a gift and I do not need the isk atm.
Its also rather nice knowing that I have a rare ship I can always keep it until I do need the isk - call it my emergency fund.
