Edited by: Datamax on 12/03/2005 07:59:37 Remembering back to the "good ol days" when eve was unstable as hell and people still played it.
early into live.. CCP was forced to double the labs and factories available to keep up with the playerbase.
over a year later. with eve STILL expanding in population, instead of expanding the available space (most cities build new highrise office blocks) we have the out of control rental system.
this current rental system means new corps cannot start in a secure location, but are forced to move to lower security areas to start. and then face issues with "player rats" in these areas.
If the rental slots available arent going to be increased.. i suggest a different way of approaching this issue
Pay by total office/labs rented. EG.
corp A has 1 office - 40k rent per office corp B hs 5 offices - 100k per office corp C has 50 offices - 2 mill per office
this way. small corps get a chance to grow. and large corps can pay for the luxury of having widespread influence
just an idea. comments and actual pricing welcome

sounds like a great ideal to me....CCP's plan to just keep jacking up the prices...hasn't worked...now paying almost 3,000,000.00 isk for a lab...only have 1...and not researching ammo...

I like your idea. I have alot of bpo's and none have been researched. I have looked and looked. then I found a few. but 2.5 for 5 days. not cost eff. Im better off purchasing from npc stations. and not wasting money on bpo's

Edited by: Lady Venom on 15/03/2005 02:14:33 sounds good to me but make even a bit more costly because lets face it 2 mill is barely anything to a corp like big for example

And then I make a thousand alt corporations and hoard out all the labs I want, in high demand systems, in order to sell them.
Just like before.

I think this is the best idea I've heard to date. It allows for scaling based on the size of the organisation. I do agree with "Domalais" that alt corps may be formed to limit prices, but I believe the inconvenience of creating and maintaining separate corps will be outweighed by simply paying the higher price and keeping all your prints organised. When you can make a fortune mining Zydrine and Megacyte rich ores with hundreds of players in your corp or alliance this isn't going to make much difference to your organisation. It will also help the smaller starters just as suggested.
