How's about mining solar gas & gas clouds, for rare minerals. even if it takes longer & requires solar shielding & special mining equiptment & skills

Cool Idea !
How about "mining" the atmospheres of planets as well, put yourself in low orbit and suck up the air.

I like the idea of sucking up the air. I could go strip mining in Amarr space :D

to be honest the mining should be expanded BIG time, its so boring and its all the same minerals. If they expanded by doing what has been suggested with gas mining of finding a planet with a ocean etc but what about incorperating moons that you can land on set up and build your own factory and or lab. This then gives the ability for you to decide how you want to play the game, i know you can build your own space station but that is out of the range of us normal players.
If however you can build your own mining / trading post where you can put your items to be sold it give s the sense of purpose to do somthing.
ive been playing this game for over a month now and im starting toget bored as all there is to do is mine, fight pirates, build a few items, i can research as i cant find a lab but you get the idea

How about mining a moving object like a comet?
and just for laughs, how about mining an enemies ship to take all the metal of his hull! lol

There should be even more options on the regular mining, like for instance you could make a new mineral thats even more valuable than ark and make it unstable. Maybe risk getting your ship blown to pieces but the rewards would be higher ... make it a bit more exciting.
