I haved moved to an 0.5 system and started mining there, very good ore. Problem is NPC Rats!
1). Once I you kill all NPC rats from an roid field, how often do they return, or is it an random thing?
2). Whats best, to sell all my ore once a day or at intervals?
Hope someone can help with these questions. Thanks

Respawn is at random intervals.
As to the ore. if you mass up huge quantaties you can sell in bulk generally for a larger amount. though id say your better off just hauling your refined ore to the highest bidder.
Or as would be better .. sell your mining ship and never touch a Miner II again

hi,
the rats spawn randomly.
it depends on the market how often you should sell the ore. let's assume the following:
if you try to sell 1000m¦ ore, you'll get 500ISK each.
there is a buy order for 10km¦ ore, for a price at 600isk.
in this case its better to save up and satisfy the buy order, easy.
greets

Isn't distance a problem, lets say I get 500isk for an load and the buy order is 600K, the time it could take to jump to that destination (especially in a Ind Ship) I could mine more going back to roid field couldn't I?

You should refine all your ore into minerals, it gives you alot more profit. ----------------------------------------------- CANADIAN |

1) NPCs respawn at random intervals, though I've seen NPCs keep respawning right after I killed them, and they kept spawning until I got bored of killing them. This was probably a glitch at that time.
2) Is it best to sell your ORE in intervals or once a day? Well this is a complex question, I shall try to give you a basis to decide from:
- Try looking at different regions to see the highest price demand for the ORE you want to sell. Obviously the market fluctuates according to supply and demand, you could spend your EVE career just talking about supply and demand and trying to predict it. Once you find a good region mine that ORE at the nearest system or that system with the highest price to reduce hauling times. - Time is ISK when you're mining. The more lasers you have, the less time to obtain ORE to sell at highest price. The higher your Mining and mining related skills are, the more ORE you can mine and sell. The higher ship skills you have, the better the Ship you can use to have more high slots to equip more mining lasers and to use a better Hauler that can hold more ORE to haul and sell. Time also plays a role in how long a High price remains for the ORE you are mining. SOme put a nice price up to give incentive to an individual or corporation to mine what they need. Maybe build relationship with those you see placing everyday orders so you can use Time to your advantage. - Mining techniques can also save you time. Use a secure can if you see Pirates coming to kill you and steal your ore. If you fell comfortable with the possibility of losing your mined ORE, use a jettisoned can to mine into. That way you can get your hauler and make trips faster. You'd be surprised how many ships I have seen mine into their ship, fly to the station and sell their ORE. - Mine with a Friend. You could be mining while your friend hauls or vica versa. The more the better. - Train your Refining and refining related skills to Refine the ORE into MINERALS. You may see better profits that way =), not to mention hauling minerals is a much better way to save Time, they weigh much less than the ORE you are mining. - Do some thinking about how much the ORE weighs that you are mining. It will take more trips to haul heavier ORE, but then you must compare the price differences, security of the system, and danger of where you are hauling it to.
So in conclusion to question #2, It really depends on what you want to do. Sell the ORE that day, sell the ORE many times that day, or save the ORE until you think the demand prices will be much higher, and make all those hauling trips. TIME is what you must consider in trying to make the best Isk while mining- improve mining and refining skills, get the best ship possible, get the best hauler possible, use the mining tips given above, use teamwork, and go insane making charts to track all I just discussed above. --------------------------------------------------- (\_/) Is this bunny or Picachu?
