Hi!
Just a little shy of two weeks playing time I finally have a rupture. I chose to get one because I felt a rifter and level 1 missions don't really get me much isk. So far the rupture has been a blast (I have 1/3rd of the isk I paid for it back now), and level 2 mission rewards are awesome. Although some of them are terribly hard and I have to warp back in quite a few times. I am using an afterburner, a x5 engine enervator (or something like that).
Now of course I want to advance to level 3 missions at some point. What ship should I fly for those? I have searched the forums a little and people suggested cyclones and hurricanes. Is that right? And how would I go about fitting one of those? I am a minmatar race player. From frigates to cruisers I had to fit bigger turrets (I found that out late lol ), so when I would fly a cyclone, would I have to fit large turrets?
And on an unrelated note , what do I do with loyalty points? |

Both the hurricane and cyclone are good ships pve fitting I really can't say much when it comes to minmitar BC'sbut you do use medium turrets on.
Frigs/destroyers-small Cruisers/BC's-medium Battleships-large Dread/Titan-extra large
For minmitar battleship your probably looking at tempest or maelstrom. But befor you look at getting one please try and finish you core fitting and navigational, as well as most of your gunnery skills. The cert planner helps alot.
If you have any further questions feel free to mail or message me if you see me online always willing to help people. -Forest
Edit-lp is used to trade for various item in the lp store including skill books, mods, ships, and implants, often though you also need to pay Isk and sometimes items. You can view the store under one of the buttons on the right side of the screen when docked. |

Well like mentioned both the cane and cyclone are great ships. What it boils down to is how you would prefer to tank. The cyclone with its shield booster bonus is of course better suited to shield tanking and the hurricane with all of the low slots is better at armor tanking (though as a reputation for being able to pull off a decent passive shield tank).
However the hurricane does have a double damage bonus (both dmg and RoF) so hurricane tends to be the preferred ship in most cases. As for fitting them I'd say at least fit a 10MN afterburner and fitting as many 425mm autos as you can.
When it comes to missioning ships one of the key things to keep in mind is cap stability to maintain your tank. For both ships I'd fit Capacitor Control Circuits to help the repper/booster keep running along side the hardeners and afterburners.
So here is the basic formula for mission ships: (Active) - Weapons, as many as possible - Repper/booster - AB - Hardeners - Weapon upgrades (in this case gyrostabilizer) - Capacitor modules
Things to keep in mind about cap mods - Cap Relays will lower the effectiveness of shield boosters but offers the biggest cap gain to stability - Cap Flux Coils do not have any of the penalties that the cap relay does except for higher CPU needs, in exchange for the lack of penalty the gain to stability is much less - Power Diagnostic System offers little gains to everything, when active shield tanking these are preferred as part of their gains are to shield HP and shield recharge but these offer the least gain between the three
If someone wants to talk about passive tanking and "damage tanking" then feel free :P
As for LP, it's used in the LP store. The button to open it is a picture of a General or some other officer looking guy in the station panel. The LP that you have can be found from your journal under the agent tab. LP that you own is specific to each corp and you can only spend it at those corps. The only exception is CONCORD LP earned from running incursions. This LP can be used directly at a special CONCORD LP store or be transferred to another corp at an exchange rate. For each LP offer you must have ALL the requirements, ISK, LP and possibly items. The Drake is a Lie |

The Hurricane is literally a bigger version of the Rupture. Since it is still a medium sized ship it uses the same modules, but more of them. While it's got more hitpoints it's also somewhat slower und bulkier.
In case you still have trouble finishing some of the level 2 missions without warping out I would not advice advancing to level 3 ones. You must be missing something either in skills, tactics or your setup.
An even bigger ship with the same traits would be the Tempest. It is a large ship and thus needs to fit large weapons and some other large modules instead of medium ones. You should not need one sooner than you intend to run level 4 missions. As to when you're ready it's the same story as before: when you have no more troubles with 3's. |

Solid advice, specially the part where bigger =/= always better Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Neo didnGÇÖt learn Kung-Fu by having it sit in his usb drive.-á If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, poke it with your gun and then shoot it. Train BCs. Cane and Cyclone work great for missions, ratting and PVP (as does the Ruppie).
If by the time you have trained up the supporting skills you get the PVP bug i'd be tempted to go back and train up t2 frigates. |

For what it is worth, I tried to do level 3 missions in an arty-Rupture, partly for the challenge, but I found it just too difficult vs. NPC battlecruisers.
I then got into an arty-Hurricane, basically with the same skills, and found level 3 missions to be a snooze-fest. It was really a huge difference. |

Good advices there. Yet going always bigger is not the only possibility : You could for example decide to use the skills you already have in frigs and cruisers to specialize in T2 ships of the same size... You can perfectly do lvl 3 missions with an AF (which is even cheaper than a BC), and then later level 4 with a HAC or even a T3 cruiser. It's not more expensive than a battleship. Big slow boats or smaller fast boats, both can do an effective job, it's a question of taste. |
