"Throughout the history of humankind, waging for territorial gain is a tragic but seemingly inevitable fact of life."
Here is list of what is in both Sovereignty and Non Sovereignty. Most important why we need the change over all.
STAR GATES - Concord Controled. Players use them to get around were they need to go. Biggest area in the game for all combat.
NOW ----- Players use them currently to fight over space and get around. CHANGE ----- The current base would like to see more ways to get around, by adding more SG to Sovereignty space. WHY ----- Game has not changed much in this area. The goal by adding more stargates, you have more ways to combat, get around the current space. This mainly would help the small, groups and make it harder for bigger alliances to pin them down. Allowing for more key combat both Sovereignty and non Sovereignty space.

Star gates: Player MADE stargates would be very interesting.... This would have to be implemented carefully with the following rules: --- Everyone Can use them, no restrictions.. --- They can be reinforced (at which point they become inoperable), and even destroyed... --- They cannot connect two systems that are different regions.. Honestly, they probably should be limited to constellations. --- They require an advanced level of Sov to install, and are not cheap...
Local: Completely removing local is not a solution. It needs --- To be balanced... If you give the locals the ability to know who's in system, there needs to be a pragmatic toolset for an invading force to find out the exact same information! --- Include the number of pilots in a system... When I take a medium gang out for a fight (20-40 people), I want to be able to find a fight... this means I need a tool that allows me to determine which systems have enough pilots in them to form up and give me a fight... --- Include an intel tool.... While I don't want/need details on whom is in system handed to me on a silver platter, I need some tools to gather this information, and share it with my fleet members...
Sov: The biggest problem with taking or gaining sov, is it's all based around alarm clock fights. --- RF timers are good to a point, as they essentially provide the atmosphere for huge fleet battles... but Sov should NOT be solely based around huge fleet battles. --- POS spamming is/was tedious, and not any better than the current sov mechanics... --- What sov truly needs is an element of sustained activity. If we call Blowing up the IHUB and TCU major objectives, sov really needs many smaller, randomly spawned objectives that can speed up or perhaps eventually impede the sov conquering process. Ideally, objectives that are more small-gang oriented in scope! |

Yep. You have the really vocal 1% of nullsec players saying that local should be removed, the 1% who argue against them, and the 98% who know it's a terrible idea to remove it but cant be bothered to argue about a topic that they know CCP is smart enough not to change. |

It would be interesting to have the option to tax people using a Player created gate, just like Outposts can tax ships that are docking, based on the size of the ship. You could go as far as to custom make the taxes like Custom Offices based on what there relationship is to your corp.

The arguements back and forth about whether we should remove local or not are vast and take over threads. My opionion is make people work for there intel.

Smaller objectives will be better, I would pay close attention to whats going on in FW right now, it literally is the testing ground for upcoming Sov Changes. Dusties and Districts will be required to take full sov, and I imagine that something in space yet to be determined will also effect ownership of a system.
It will be an interesting next 18 months, we'll see if CCP can pull it off. MMOs come and go, but Eve remains.-á -Garresh- |
