Are there any going on in EVE? Have there been any? Could a new player get involved or would that be a bad idea?

They literally occur all the time. However, they are mostly the realm of 0.0 alliances so if you're interested in that you should try to work your way toward joining one.

Alliances is 100% player run factions, they consists of many corporations and thousands of players. And they usualy get thier asses kicked by small PvP corp's -----------------------------------

That's right. Outside the protection of CONCORD, the only law is what you bring with you. You might want to try checking the forums for a map of the current political situation around EVE. __________________ Interstellar joy-rider |

Can concord ships be defeated or held off long enough to do something bad to someone in protected space?

No.
i believe that's misleading. Technically speaking, you're correct, except what you asked wasn't answered.
There are numerous loopholes in Concord's idiotic reasoning, and even CCP's 'player conduct'
basically, some bunch of fools can create 1 day accounts (usually via buddy programs) and, usually using Caldari kestrel frigates with rocket launchers, they can act like a bunch of suicide squaddies.have about 3+ buddies gang up on some industrial or miner and blow them up before concord can gank them...they use OTHER alt. accounts to plunder what they've blown up it's despicable, but CCP will only consider it an 'expoit/grief' if someone actually recycles an account/character in order to repeat said process
and since the person asking the question is OBVIOUSLY an 'alt' i'd just like to point out there's alot more ways to grief than meets the eye, but i'm sure you'll discover those methods soon enough. ______________________ Best darned links ingame and out (backup) |

Technically, Concord still defeats you there, since your ship goes BOOM.
