Looking at the description of the rig module, Medium Aux Nano Pump II, as an example...
Quote:This ship modification is designed to increase a ship's armor repairer repair amount at the expense of max velocity.
Penalty: Using more than one type of this module or similar modules that affect the same attribute on the ship will be penalized.
And the attributes state it will inflict - 10% Drawback.
Now, does this mean that buy using 1 module, it will implement the 10% Drawback? Or, does just using one not effect the ships maximum velocity until you use more than one?
And if you use 2, the second will apply a "higher" % of Drawback? So, using 2 would be ..IDK, 10% from the first and 12.5% from the second. Given the extra 2.5% as the penalty applied from the second one?
Thank you in advance,
- JC

Level 0: (1 - skill * 10%) = 100% drawback (can use, but can't fit) Level 1: 90% drawback Level 2: 80% drawback Level 3: 70% drawback Level 4: 60% drawback Level 5: 50% drawback
The exception being rigs that only require the rigging skill, which don't have a drawback.
Example: -10% Velocity Level 0: -10% (can use, but can't fit) Level 1: -9% velocity Level 2: -8% velocity Level 3: -7% velocity Level 4: -6% velocity Level 5: -5% velocity
Now every rig you add increases the drawback (1 - drawback)^N
The rigs skills for weapon system rigs are essentially fitting skills. |

Stacking Penalties
Also this thread are about as close to an answer as you're going to get.
TL;DR AFAIK standard stacking penalties apply to rig drawbacks, but I could be horribly horribly wrong, hopefully someone more knowledgable than I can point you in the right direction

Excellent post TC...very impressive information, indeed.
Kudos and likes and all of that good stuff that goes along with...that...good stuff.

Just to be clear the stacking penalty not something specific to rigs, it effects most things which effect your ship (skills being the main exception).
The drawback of a rig is the downside of fitting it, and can be reduced by the right rig skill. |
