probably a silly question , but i can't seem to find a clear answer on the evelopedia and nobody in the corp actuall knows
We , the corp recently moved to nullsec and to help the industrial oriented members in our corp we got ourself a rorqual with all the bells and whistles on it and in less than 24 hours i have capital industrial ship lvl 4 and probably going for lvl 5 afterwards
But how does this orecompression work game wise , i know what it does i know the cons and pros i did the calculations and have all the BPOs and heavy water , but how does it actual work , activating my industry core looks great graphic wise but what i m i suppose to do after that
thank you Coffee , keeps the bloodlevel low in your cafein veins low |

splurge a little on t2 cargo rigs, you'll thank yourself later when doing lots of compression jobs |

1. I could replace the cargo rigs with CCC for travel when necessary (rare).
2. There is a bug with the Rorqual where sometimes the lines don't appear, and repackaging the ship fixes it (sometimes less extreme measures like re-boarding is all it takes though), or you can file a petition. |

A Rorqual works well as a ghetto JF (for lowsec/null transporting) , so if you're going to have alot of items to move around but cannot fly a JF / carrier, etc going with T2 cargohold opt's might be a good idea. |

You just need to wait some time. The lines reappear within one cycle of of your industrial core. "Miners mine so I don't have to." ~Metal Icarus |

When this bug hits, one can wait as many cycles as you want. The compression lines don't show on S&I, so jobs cannot be delivered nor submitted. Re-boarding sometimes works. Logout and login sometimes works. Docking and undocking sometimes works.
But every once in a while nothing works, and you have to petition a GM, who will repackage the Rorqual for you so you don't lose the rigs. Or if you are impatient, you can just do it yourself and buy new rigs.
This is a known bug that has been around as long as the Rorqual. |

Which begs the question regarding the jobs line on the Roqual,
Why is it not possible to input from say the 'Members' hangar of a large assembly array and output the completed compressed product to the Roquals ORE bay, the options for choosing a installation are there along with the options for the hangars yet try as one might your stuck with minute amounts of ore for input via the cargo hold which of course must contain everything else.
Surely if your on POS set up for mining you would have installed a large assembly array for the very purpose of having sufficient storage room for mining operations, A fleet of barges can grind out a lot of Ore in a short space of time as we know, the problem has always been compression and the lack of flexibility in that process.
I for one would like to see changes to this Bottlekneck in production if possible with the ability for the Roqual to pull from any in range source hangar and output again to any hangar in range selected from the blueprint.
I would also like to see the Roqual fitted with a dedicated bay for H/W.
Changes of this nature would produce a true mobile ore compression installation, otherwise a great addition to EVE but purpose poorly thought through, observation of the use Players put this vessel too in game would have told CCP that it's normal location is just that, a POS add-on when used in it's intended role.
Give it some thought please. |

Because currently materials must always be at the location of the assembly line.

I can fly a JF and carrier (and have both) and I almost always use the rorqual. I also recommend t2 rigs. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |
