Hi guys
I have given Dust a go. However, I am struggling with using the games controller that comes with the PS3.
Being a chap who is now closer to 60 then 50 my reactions are not what they were once so it's important that I have a control system that I am comfortable with.
I know thatI can plug a USB mouse and Keyboard into the the PS3. but will I be able to use then to play the actual game.
Being able to use a control system that I am comfortable with is the main selling point for any game. As much as I am looking forward to supporting Dust, it is 50/50 as to if I go with Dust or Planetside 2 ( The original Planetside was the game that brought me to on-line gaming, so I have a bit of a soft spot for it)
Thanks in advance |

It is the same for me I prefer the keyboard and mouse. The key binding CCP has currently are un-editable, I prefer to make my own choices, but hope that feature will come in the future. |

If the controller is giving you some trouble then you might want to consider getting a FragFX of some kind.

So, in short, I can plug in ANY keyboard and mouse and be able to use them. Am I correct?
I know key binding are not editable at the moment but if ANY keyboard and mouse are useable, it is a start.
I don't like the PS3 controller as well. |

Yes, you can; however, when you do, you will be thouroughly disappointed. Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot. |

Try the Eagle Eye for the PS3 here: http://www.penguinunited.com/
I use it for FPS games on the PS3 and it works great. There is some going back and forth between PC and console to get the settings just right, but it works well. |

I have watched a video on Eagle Eye on Youtube. As far as it goes, it dosen't seem to support some of the more sophisticated gaming mice; those basic ones do fine though. Something like Eagle Eye but with a greater degree of flexiblilty will be perfect.
Any luck? |

Maybe its just me, but the Mouse and KB is way too twitchy. Maybe it could just be the hardware I'm using, though. |

I'm using the keyboard/mouse setup as I only just got a PS3 yesterday for Dust and am therefore terrible at the (awkward, if you ask me) PS3 controller. Keyboard/mouse controls, for me, work perfect. The keybinds are not optimal, but I notice a distinct improvement in my playing when using the less than optimal keyboard and mouse over the ps3 controller.
Short version: Keyboard/mouse works, and other than locked in keybinds it's quite effective |

I got this message too. I just activated a regular controller and then used my mouse and keyboard as well. worked like a charm. |
