Hey guys,
So here's the thing: Why do I get an error that says: "Broker found no match for your order. Others might have been here before you or your quotes might be outdated." when I try to buy the Hull Upgrade Skill from the market? I tried 4 different orders (3 from a stations 4 jumps away and 1 in the station i'm at). I have more than enough ISK to buy it and there's a high quantity of it.
I tried closing the market and reopening it and also relogged on EVE. Nothing worked.
Can someone help me? |

Make sure you are not in the "advanced" window, when you are trying to make the purchase. That window requires more detailed input from the buyer...or seller...which ever the case may be.
If the parameters are set that will correspond to the item listing, you will get that error message.
Ensure the window is in the "simple" form. There is a selection below the mag glass in the bottom right corner of the window. On the market screen you should see a tab for station, system, region make sure your in region otherwise you only get whats available in that choice in the tab. |

I did what Surfin and Piugattuk said but it doesn't work.
@Jesuis when you say "advanced" window, do you mean the Details tab? Because that's where I actually try to buy the items since I can find items that are way cheaper than the ones found in Groups tab.
I'm having the same problem now when trying to buy some pulse/beam lasers.. |

If you see a "duration" for an order then you're in the advanced window and you are not trying to do a buy from a sell order but actually are trying to set up a buy order for an item and it's giving you these messages cause you gave it an "instant duration". Since it finds no valid sell orders it automatically fails. The Drake is a Lie |

1.) Look up skillbook on market 2.) Look for cheapest sell order (likely NPC orders) 3.) Double click it 4.) Hit buy 5.) Done (aka fetch and train) Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Other way around actually
Top orders: Selling orders, you buy from them.
Person A has item X and doesn't want it. He puts it up for sale on the market for a price. Person B doesn't have the item and wants to pay what person A asks for it. He buys the item from person A.
Bottom orders: Buying orders, you get stuff sold to you
Person B doesn't have item X and is willing to pay Y amount of ISK. He puts up a buy order for the item for said price, person A has that item and is willing to sell it for the price person B wants to pay for it. Person A sells the item to person B. Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. Neo didnGÇÖt learn Kung-Fu by having it sit in his usb drive.-á If it moves, shoot it. If it doesn't move, poke it with your gun and then shoot it. Make sure to sort the orders.
Sell Orders: lowest price at the top. [You always buy from the lowest eligible sell order.]
Buy Orders: highest price at the top. [You always sell to the highest eligible buy order.]
NPC sell orders are always 364+ days (they are reset to 365 days every downtime). Players cannot make orders over 90 days.
Items do not move on their own. You have to pick them up from the station you buy them at. |

As in real life, how nice would it be if it was that easy, buy something from home and it magically appears at your place. Inject your skillbook before you leave the station. How about the postman? And you can always set up hauling contract. It takes a bit longer then have Scotty beaming it down, but at least you don't have to dodge the bullets flying outside your station.
