The contract vs SF ends tonight at 12am
All in all a fantastically successful 2 week contract for us. Our employer is delighted with our results, we got to do what we do best, and got paid thrown into the bargain.
Thx to all that fought us, at one point we had 1500 players at war with us.
Also thanx to our targets for a relatively smack free engagement. I hope this thread can stay that way.
Safe flight all, unless we are paid to say otherwise of course.

On behalf of KIA Corp, I would like to give thanks in particular to the Ushra'Khan and MASS.
U'K showed honour in the defence of their friends and you have earned our respect. We did not expect you to fight, but we were surprised at your tenacity and perseverance. Thank you.
MASS, thank you for teaching us to not let our guard down and become complacent. We had great fun fighting you and we hope you did to. I hope one day EddZ and TRIGGER will be able to sit down over a glass of Quafe one day and get along... even though EddZ will probably challenge him to a dance-off. :P
KIA Corp will be taking a week off to assess what went well, and not so well. Like all Corps we strive to improve in each and every engagement. We look forward to our next contract, and we wish our past targets well.
Until then, be good to yourself, and each other. :D

So causing us less losses then our standard 0.0 attrition rate is "fantastically successful"?
Not once stopping us from mounting operations against CVA is "fantastically successful"?
You killed more of us then we did of you, but as only TWCSA (who arent fighting CVA) was actively fighting you that is what we expected.
If numbers on a killboard in your favour is how you define success then you won. Good job. As far as we are concerned our strategy of ignoring you, and hiring mercs to play with you, worked brilliantly.
I for one will be glad I can finally mine veldspar in Yulai again.
However I must congratulate you on keeping a fairly accurate killboard, with no missing losses or other such silliness. --------------------------------------------------

I can't help but think that this has something to do with the fact that the CONCORD treaty on war costs has been substantially revised and will come into effect this week.
So much for the employer's bottomless supply of isk.
As for the results... well, I had thought the employer wanted SF broken on the wheel. Despite, yes, the substantial kills you racked up against us, we are unbowed. The war with CVA will continue and the SF war machine is only getting stronger. Not really the result I would have wanted if it had been me.

Edited by: Tatsue Nuko on 04/04/2005 11:43:38 Actually, at the time of your post you had lost 4 ships to Jericho.

Though that kill rightfully belongs to Zoe and Biomining ltd. She reported the sighting and location of J909 to me and I hopped over to join in, but she had him into hull so fast that when I came out of warp and launched a salvoe containing one misloaded Wrath Cruise, that lone missile stole the final blow.

Well the official KIA statement has been updated to reflect this. I must once again congratulate KIA for an up to date and accurate killboard. --------------------------------------------------

Aye, one can speculate what one wishes to speculate from events when the right part of the neocom suddenly goes very very green with KIAs from the buddylist (), but KIA are indeed good at keeping honest records of losses. J909's loss was entered within minutes, I believe, for example, and I haven't heard of any loss of theirs that hasn't been entered.
Pretty rare that there's no accounts of suspicious loss logs in a conflict like this.

Umm, we not only agreed with their numbers but congradulated them on keeping accurate score. We do have our own views as to whether they had any significant strategic impact on SF operations.

KIA,
Good game, i wish I saw more of you guys when I was online but I guess we cant have anything. I know that there has been really hateful words between us in the past. So Im telling you guys as a player, if anything you all are a delightful annoyance. I admit i feel it was a tad ill-timed. But I do hope you might be able to wash off that nasty tarnish on your rep eventually.
So with that one last poke at the ribs.
You dont gotta lie...we all know your only ending your so called "contract" because you all would go broke. You dont gotta be scared so just admit thats the reason and ill say i lost 5 battleships to you guys. =D
Have fun and it was a pleasure. Good luck and go play quake! <flips yea all the bird> -------------------------- Vist the Jericho Fraction Forums

Well I'll be honest, KIA contract had the effect of stopping me from flying in space for two weeks and completely neutralised any effect I might have had in the war against PIE and friends. So well done to your contract hirer as part of your money spent you eliminated 24m skillpoints of combat spiciness for a couple of weeks and introduced me to medieval VR sims!

IMO KIA could have been much more successful, judging by their activity level. It must have been pretty boring for them to camp Nonni-Yulai, but they did it anyways. One can only assume that that was what the "employer" wanted. If KIA actually went and gathered some intel then I very much doubt I would have been able to completely ignore their existence everytime I undocked like I did. I'm not going to tell you how to be a merc, but if people pay you to do what you did, then it's apparent that some people have entirely too much money.
Congratulations, you got more kills, and if that was the goal of your employment then I guess you did your job.
