If I want to join a different (from starting) NPC corporation what status should I have with that particular corporation? Can I join any NPC corporation or is there a limited list of those corporations which accept PC members? Where can I find the list if it exists?
If this is FAQ, just point me in the right direction.

You cant join a NPC Corp anymore. Only way to get into a NPC Corp is by leaving a Player Controlled Corp, wich drops you either back in the Starter Corp or something similar. But there is no way anymore to Join Concord for example.

You can join NPC corporations as long as you have a high enough standing with them. If its changed, then apologies, but I always thought it was possible if your standing was high enough. --------------------------------------------

Why then the button "join" on the NPC crop representaion in stations? Does "not any more" mean that it used be possible to join any npc corp? If it is not possible to join NPC corporations apart for the staring one, then the "join" buttons is a bit misleading..

I think your standing has to be over 2.5 or something. Hopefully someone with more brains than me regarding Eve will post and resolve this issue --------------------------------------------

How high exactly? Augmented (that is with social skills counted in) standing or base standing?

They removed the ability to join NPC corps awhile back. They want people to form their own corps, not join the NPCs. You used to be able to do it with 2.5 or higher, but that's been gone a long time now. There may be bugs that let you join, but you'll be removed as soon as someone notices.

i do not see y u cannot join an NPC corp, would be good role playing for the game. You get agents and maybe even get classed as a pirate, but then u will get ppl in empire blasting ppl, which a question i have....If concord are out to stop criminals, then y do they never target npc rats? i have been at a gate many times when there is a cluster of npc rats and concord, and concord just seem to sit there and eat dohnuts ----------------------------------------------- The Only Way To Stop Violence Is To Kill Everyone |

Edited by: Danton Marcellus on 15/04/2005 22:12:40 That's crap. Better people who will stay in NPC corporations no matter what have an RP alternative to the starter corp and the rejects corp you end up in leaving a player corporation. They'll be in an NPC corporation regardless.
Just make it very hard if you don't want people to join en masse.

Its currently no longer possible. It used to be possible at 2.5 standing. Sort of sucks, NPC corps are cool. ---------------------------
