Twice during a day ammo disappeared from cargo. Flew to fight and found that there are no ammo to reload! And this happened already several times. What happens? |

I can't offer an explanation, but I can confirm that ammo does indeed disappear from cargo.
In my case it disappears when I dock. I've had several occurences where I have thousands of rounds in cargo while flying around and reload only once or twice and yet have none left when I dock. |

Disappearing items is a serious bug or glitch. Petition it! F12 -> Create Petition -> Stuck -> Stuck Character.
I recommend stuck because this is sort of a serious problem and should be addressed quickly, and stuck petitions have the highest priority. Rifterlings - small gang frigate PvP - low/nullsec operations, newbie-friendly, free ship program; Join today! www.rifterlings.com

If you change ammo in station, the ammo removed goes into your station inventory and not into your cargohold.
You may want to check the assets window to see if you are leaving a trail of ammo behind. |

I've never had ammo disappear on me. Or anything else. It's possible there's a bug, but I consider this to be the most plausible explanation. It's easy to check for, for someone who knows how the Assets window works: Either just look in the "All Items" tab, if you have a relatively uncluttered playstyle (I don't - I tend to have crap lying around in 15-25 different space stations at any one time). Or else use the "Search" tab.
As a side note, I've never had a problem with ammo going into station hangar, but I'd love to have an "unfit to cargo" option on the Fitting screen, when I'm docked.

Petitions in the wrong category aren't addressed quickly. They're just moved to the back of the correct category. Stuck petitions are fast becuase they're simple, fast and anyone handling petitions can do them. Not to mention, that this is a potential bug and petitions aren't the way to try and get it fixed. You get it fixed by making a bug report and if you title it as serious/urgent, it'll get noticed fast. On the other hand by petitioning it you have a chance of getting your missing ammo back.
That said this sounds like a potential bug and likely inventory UI mistake. The inventory windows don't always update properly and they revert to odd choices, so it's possible you deposited the ammo in an incorrect place. Doing an asset search before anything else is strongly adviced. If it's actually missing, it's a serious issue, that needs to be reported immediately. |

You're right, of course, but I am not sure if it's just in theory or also in practice. I have reported issues in the past that weren't a "stuck character", but which the GM advised me to file as such in the future, in order to take advantage of the higher priority to solve urgent problems.
So yeah, take my advice about where to report it with a pinch of salt, but if it turns out that items are indeed disappearing, this needs to be reported anyway in whatever way OP chooses. I have seen this, but it was due to using the new Unified Inventory and I later found the missing ammo in the wrong ships, station containers, etc. Have you checked all your pockets?
