After dabbling in exploration and finding numerous wormholes, i am curious what makes a wormhole sellable? am guessing it has to be empty of any player owned structures. But what makes a sellable wormhole standout from a non sellable wormhole? any advice appreciated thanks

Cos most people are lazy, it usually comes down to PI... (as sad as that is) System affects, static types and class are also important but those come down to what someone is after. |

Rarity, there are plenty of empty Class 5 systems with H296(c5 static). However, there are far less empty C3 systems, add in a high sec exit and many new w-space ventures will try to grab that from your hands. Same goes for unoccupied C1 systems or C2 with an empire exit and another C2 or C3 for the static. The fact that PI can provide for fuel production is a big bonus. I think the third contributor is a moon count, depending on the corp they might want a dozen moons at least. And so on. System effects will only matter as you go up in class and they become stronger. |

In a previous corp, i sold my c1 that we held through Taggart.
I believe what made it appealing was the fact we had perfect PI planets, a highsec static and included in the sale the battleships we constructed in the hole as well as the covetors.
People are generally lazy and want an easy solution. So if you have a WH that people want (and they don't want to waste their time searching for it) they'll generally pay for it.

What kind of prices are we talking about? Think C3 with good PI, moons and hsec exit but without ships or poses. |

unocuppied isn't always something people want, if you for instance find a c5 pulsar owned by a small mining corp I'm sure someone will pay them a visit if they really wanted it Hay |

What's weird to me is that Eve is a scammers game. Wouldn't most WH sales be scams?

You will have to find a reputable wormhole dealer (i.e. someone like me) or use a 3rd party transaction service (such as Taggart). Always ask them to show you some forum posts with references of their buyer saying "yes I bought from this person and they didn't steal my ISK." They CAN be faked, but generally speaking nobody has put that kind of effort in.
As far as what you can earn: you can sell just about any empty wormhole to the right buyer for at least 100-200 million ISK, it just might take time.
For the post a couple up about a C3-high sec with good PI and no player structures, you could probably get a billion from the right buyer, but personally I'd be pricing in the 500-750 mil range to make it go quicker.
You don't necessarily need the system to be "empty" of player structures and customs offices. I frequently sell wormholes with dead towers and old customs offices in them; they're pretty easy to clear out once you've moved in and have a chance to close off all your statics.

The thing to understand about people buying a worm hole is it's all about time. For the right hole you can often get .5-1B, but it needs to have the right static, planet mix, and right effects. If you are looking for say a C2 with HS, and C4 statics; good spread of planets; WolfGÇôRayet Star it's going to take a long time to find one. It might very well be cheaper to buy the hole and use your time to earn the isk. |
