for the health of the game you really must do something about these out of hand terrorists you call PVPers.
I usually like to mine haul and trade but the economy and trade is cripled but the vast amouts of PVPers making it impossible to do any meaningful trade because of there single minded pourpose built terrorists that nothing can survive especially your slow vulnerable hauler 1-2 shots and there D E A D what fun is that what it does is it makes people leave the game because they cant do what they paid good money to be able to do.
the tactics these terrorists use is very much like the tactics you see in iraq road side bombs killing inocent people.
sure I expect to be attacked ocasionally possibly even getting podded but these guys are way out of hand and have way too much power and is throwing the balance of the game out of wack especially since you lack many defensive weapons to make encounters survivable. other than that your gonna need to build combat haulers with the guns of a battleship and the cargo capacity of a hauler.
you dont believe me meet up with me in reins and well just make a standard run in a couple of haulers.

get a better hauler :) The new once will be pretty usefull for people like you. But what you just descriped is the way of the game at the moment. So adapt or die pretty much,
Fly safe.

It's a PvP centric game. You just have to deal with it.

Stay in 0.4's and higher. The game is split 50 / 50 deal with it. Maybe have an escort ?

You might be better either like they say getting an escort or getting someone to check the gates ahead in afast frig also insta's might help.
Or staying in 0.5 and above not 0.4's as they said

The thing is that this is the way of the game, as has been said above, but also, it is a MMORPG... so it will have 'simulated' terrorism as well, be it generaly purpose ganking of roleplay, such as a Minmatar liberation movement...
And you comparison to the roadside killings of innocents, it is going to happen in this game, just cos really... That is what concord and escorts are there for, to make sure that those indiviudals who will do that to you, will be deterred by a much stronger military or police presence...
get in contact in game if you want better security from a reliable corporation ;)

Learn to play the game, not change it.
So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong and to strike at what is weak. |

Sukio the point of eve it's full of challenges. In your case the challenge is to get an indy through low sec space in one piece. There are a great many tools available to make this possible (even if it somtimes means waiting for a blockade to move).
Sadly your approach to solving it is to demand the devs "fix" the game so it suits you instead of working it out yourself.
If you can't handle the risks of low security space then you don't belong there, it really is that simple.

Sukio - are you referring to Empire space or Low Sec???
The reason I ask is that the current war system allows a pirate corp to war a trader corp and therefore attack it in empire without the need to enter low sec space.
While I understand that this is needed, I feel that there are some corps that abuse the system. I am all in favour of making low sec space more dangerous and making the insurance system tougher on those that fire first, but empire space is reserved for carebares and those that do not wish to war are getting hit without any chance for retaliation.
ATM it seems like the only certainty that you have is that you will only be safe in an NPC corp.
Oh, and just in case you are wondering, I feel that pirates have just as much a role to play in this game. I feel that they are needed as part of the risk/reward element. But I also feel that empire should be safe, though with lower rewards, for those that wish to make a steady living.
This is about balance. Not one or two people getting their kicks to the detriment of hundreds of other players and not hundreds of players being able to make mountains of money with no risk either.
Just my 2p.

'Boo hoo CCP make my life easier! The way one group of players enjoys playing the game conflicts with the way I like to play it so therefore you should change game mechanics to totally disadvantage and alienate the former group!'
You sir, are what makes some of us into people that, when seeing a miner or a hauler or something in lowsec go 'ARRRGHSASBABRRRRRHGSAS!!!!!!!! KILL THE CAREBEAR!!!!!!!'. _________________

You're only calling me a terrorist because it's 2005. If we were in the 80's, you'd be calling me a commie bastard. "You Griefer!!!" = "You Doodyhead!!!" |

Shall we give this poor carebear some clues?
- Slow vulnerable hauler/lack of defensive weapons? Use nanofibers, instas, warpcore stabs, T2 indies, scouts, alts in n00b corps. Or better: use your imagination.
- People leaving this game because getting blown up? if they are that easily offended or utterly clueless, they're not worth the money they put into this game. "This game is not about a communism of IQ"
- Terrorist reference to Iraq? I think we should expand Godwin's Law with references to Iraq.
- Reins? I suppose you mean 'Rens' and that system has more agentrunners then pirates/terrorists.

The mods you are looking for are:
Remote Sensor Dampers and Warp core stabilizers
That and take an escort with you thru lowsec space. Solo-trading thru 0.0 is ASKING to be ganked.
And leave the silly terrorist references out of it...its apples and oranges and diminishes the discussion.

being a pvp'er im a bit biased but what I would like to have is a huge bomb to put in a hauler then I could take it into low sec or o.o and try to get attacked and just as they start firing blow it up and them with it ..
Evil hauler of doom muhahaha

Couldn't have said it better myself. Whenever I catch myself feeling bad for my victims, I just go read the forums for an hour or so and afterwards I'm filled with the overwhelming desire to lock and pod everyone I see on my overview. ----------------------------
