I am having the same problem too. I sent in a stuck petition. I mean, this should classify as not being able to play the game. It is the same thing for me, I am able to play other games just fine, even everquest 2 on extreme quality. Hopefully my petition gets taken into account as being a "stuck" issue.

What Windows XP do you have? the 64-bit edition or the 32-bit edition? Also, do you have newest DirectX?
It could be an issue with the OS and drivers. Also, when you start EvE, are your sounds garbled? If so, try updating your sound cards drivers.
Hopefully that helps. -- Currents ships lost in Exodus: 3x Moa, 1x Kestrel, 1x Merlin

i have XP 32 edition. Direct X 9.0c. latest drivers for SB Live5.1 (no sounds problem). and only Eve crashes, notother games. 1 more moment. risk of crashes greatly increased in Create Character interface and in Station interface (in my situation).

Edited by: Frozen Light on 21/04/2005 14:12:11 Hmm, don't have much experience from EvE on 64-bit CPUs. My primary guess is that your soundcard or northbridge of your motherboard is causing issues.
Try updating your motherboards drivers or disabling your soundcard and ingame sounds. The command to disable ingame sounds is ctrl-alt-F12, If I remember correctly. I've personally had issues with sounds when running to accounts simultanously. First it worked fine, then sounds became garbled (ie: sounding horrible) and then my PC would crash. Disabling sounds fixed the issue. -- Currents ships lost in Exodus: 3x Moa, 1x Kestrel, 1x Merlin

Uninstall SP2. causes nothing but problems for Eve, if you are using media/ home edition. XP pro w/sp2 seems to be fine.
