Hi,
I've found a nice quiet 0.6 system with several moons free that I'll be setting up my POS in the near future. I'm just in the process of increasing my faction standings to 6. What i wanted to confirm is, when i look at my character sheet, under standings I have faction standing number followed by in brackets connections raises this from x value (or words to that effect). Do i need to have the first value to 6 or the latter?
Thanks |

Quote:The standing you need is CORP to FACTION standing, not your personal standing and no skills are taken into account on this so it's your base standings, not modified by skills which is the faction amount you will get.
If you're getting into POSs, you might wanna work on your google-fu.

Thanks It is the second number in the brackets that counts.
It is not personal standings that allows you to anchor a POS it is your corp standings.
Corp standings are not affected by social skills so it uses the second number in the brackets i.e. your base standings, not you effective standings as modified by your skills.
Corp standings are calculated by the average of all corp members who have any standings toward that faction. Even if it is negative. Add them up and divide by the number of members.
Corp standings are updated every down time, but only characters that have been in the corp for over 7 days count towards standings. This means you do not have to boot any low standings characters until the POS is up, but only for one downtime. When they rejoin the corp their standings will not affect corp standings for 7 days.
When monitoring your standings to determine when you can place the POS do not look at your character sheet. look at the corp sheet standings (corp tab on the left side of screen) as it is these standings used for POS placement. By right clicking on the faction standings in the corp sheet you can select show compositions. This will show you all the corp members contributing to that standings and what their personal base standings are. You can decide from here if you need to temporarily remove any members to raise standings.
POSes can only be launched for your corp. they are not personal structures. Once launched and anchored it belongs to the corp and can not be transfered. Only corp members with the right roles can access them. Even if you bought and launched the POS, if you are not a director, or do not have appropriate roles you can not use it. Characters in NPC corps can not launch POSes. |

You use the lowest number. The unmodified one. Or to state it another way, you ignore the effect of the Connections skill bonus.
