Who else here created a TOR account, now that it is free to play?
Its hard for me, since I was burned out of WoW and other themepark games, but a free game is hard for me to pass up. I'm not shitposting. |

Not me. I could not stand this game when it had a sub fee and I'm even less interested now. It was just so boring. My biggest problem though was that I didn't feel like the Bioware style of storytelling lends itself to an MMO. Bioware's story are all about world changing decisions and it kinda breaks any sense of immersion when the only thing you change is small, instanced areas while the rest of the world seems void of any change whatsoever. That's just me though.
If you like the game, then more power to you. As long as you're having fun, it's okay with me. |

I played it during beta and thought it was just more of the same. Haven't heard anything since which sets it apart in any way.
Although im not a big Star Wars fan, which i'm told helps. Not that i dislike the movies, i'm just not crazy about them. "It's no use crying over spilt milk, because all the forces of the universe were bent on spilling it." ~William Maugham |

I enjoy Swtor, I'm playing Again
But with the Free to Play Limits its still hard to find a Group for a Flashpoint :( I'm stuck in Limbo (Do Rubbish quests to level up for storyline, Or Wait for a Group to do a Flashpoint)

Heres a question or two: What does SWTOR have that any other mmo doesn't do better or flat out doesn't have? Secondly, why should I ever log in again?
I found its storyline predictable, badly written, forcibly awkward and overall an unenjoyable experience. The story was one of SWTOR's main selling points and it completely failed to do anything they said it would. The "endgame" raiding is more of the same crap from other MMOs (*cough* WoW *cough) and has done EXACTLY NOTHING new. Bioware, in trying to cater to EVERYONE, did EVERYTHING subpar and halfassed in such a way that I'm amazed it hasn't shut down already. The battleground PVP is stale and governed more by what gear you have rather than any personal knowledge of your class or character build. There is no open world PVP. It is not an MMO. Its many people playing online together, but alone. |

It has cool graphics though for a free game, plus a lot of the abilities are pretty fun for me. Lots more flying around and doing cool things then WoW. WoW mostly liked to put pretty colors up and then that was suppose to be enough.
Not sure if I will subscribe or not. Don't think I would like to play hardcorely and subscription is built around playing that game almost exclusively with raids and pvp on it. I'm not shitposting. |

Has it been fixed yet? I mean, does it play anything like kotor, or is it still a generic questy, questy grind fest in jedi-cut-scene clothing? |

They hindered the **** out of it with their current money scheme. Limited action bars, auction house interactions, amount of flashpoints done in a day, limited exp. They haven't havn't fixed ****. "Oh, you can't help that," said the troll: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad." "How do you know I'm mad?" -ásaid the forumwarrior. "You must be," said the troll, "or you wouldn't have come here." |

Ill pass ty.
After GFW2 which I enjoyed as a single player game more than an MMO, and actually enjoyed my 60$ out of it for several months, Im burned out of the MMORPG genre. GW2 is good, but for me, the peak of MMOs atm in this day and age. So I enjoyed a healthy dose of it, recommend it to everybody and play once in a while.
But Im back to basics and GOG.com to relive the classics when games were more suited to my style of fun.
Games evolve, Im a dinosaur and I admit it, cant find much fun in the modern generation of gaming.
Thats why I want you all to know, if you YEARN for some good old-skool tactical combat , turn based madness, please support this guy and buy Knights of the Chalice , simply one of the best modern gems of retro-gaming.
It has everything I enjoyed of old RPGs, turn based, level up mechanics and feats off the SRD, in a glorious format.
Since I grew up playing TEXT PARSER Sierra games and then went into MUDS, graphic eye candy never enticed me except to take a boob shoot off a female char.
Please, give your money to Knights of the Chalice or at least download the demo, you might perhaps find some of that old fashioned fun.
