I've always assumed that combat sites (not anamolies) despawn after 2 days, and profession sites (radar, magneto etc) despawn after about 24 hours. But upon further research I cannot seem to find any consensus on this.
Can anyone clear this up? Do despawn timers only trigger when you warp to the site? |

It's almost impossible to collect reliable data, since there's just too many players roaming about.
But, I had un-profitable profession sites stay in a quiet system for longer than two weeks. Never warped to it or anything and I doubt anybody else did.
There's others factors, too. If you roam a quiet region, you sometimes find systems that have not been loaded after downtime. Do timers tick down in systems that have not been loaded? Stuff like that makes it hard to do research in a more controllable environment like the test server. :effort:
tl;dr I, too, am clueless.

A few days ago I found a Grav site among several others in my home low sec system. Ran the few plexes, did my expedition I got and did the Ladar. Logged off before I had time to clean out the Grav, but I did warp in and look around. Logged back on the next day some 22 hours later and was surprised the Grav site was still around waiting for me. Then took my sweet time cleaning it out.
What's this mean exactly? Well who the F knows |

Grav sites live for 3 days unless someone mines out all the roids in there. |

I think this is kind of correct. I know that radar sites will live until someone begins a hack procedure on an info shard. Once that's started, if they leave and come back after 1 minute, it will be gone. |

Post the scan ID as a petition under "stuck" they will clear out the bugged database of the site. |

Untouched Gravitometrics ... yeah. We had one for about a week in our system. Then one day it was gone and i already was relieved - only to scan it down the next day again, at the same bookmark that i still had from before. I have no clue why it was gone for a day. |
