I Found today after patch a significant increase of heat in my gpu doing 100% normal complex. I have a GTX 460 . The Cpu temperature is ok, but i got more than 15-¦ C more than yesterday.
Any ideas why?
Thanks for any answer and sorry for my english.
PS : Yeah i upgraded to the last version the GPU Drivers. |

Actually i tried with all settings to low but the problem still persist. I have an overheat only Forsaken Hub, not i sanctums of other things. May the cloud has something wrong in it? |

As I predicted - GPU's are going to burn. Two graphic card burning releases in two years? Market loves a company with a steady track record of results!

My water-cooled dual 680s are working just fine the temperature not going above 27 C. Carry on CCP This is my signature. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.-á Without me, my signature is useless. Without my signature, I am useless |

It has no sense. If u have to go in overheat i have to go everywhere i do pvp/mining/something with huge effects or random things. My GPU goes mad only in Forsaken Hubs lol |

I Bump these because also after 1.01 patch still drops of dps and random overheat. I may thing there is something in missiles trails and shader must be wrong. |

I'm using a GTX 580, and since the patch, any mission/plex with those crappy ass gas clouds cause my GPU utilization to jump to steady 99% if I'm looking at them, with a steady heat rise. My machine is cooled correctly so can safely handle 100% utilization, but having it do so 24/7 (most plexes have these stupid gas clouds) is not good for the card. It also happens no matter what graphics settings I use.
I noticed CCP posted that they were making the gas clouds LESS GPU intensive for Retribution (too lazy to find it but should still be on the first few pages), but it looks like they failed and broke it harder in true CCP fashion. |

No load should make your card overheat. If it does, then you have a cooling/ventilation problem with your gaming rig. Do some load tests with FurMark. |

I've got 2 GTX 280's, and they both overheated and shut off not long after undocking for the first time. Haven't had the issue since, but it's a little discouraging to do much of anything, incase it happens again. |

It's a messy fix, but if you want a stopgap solution to stop any possible permanent damage to your machine, take the tiniest bit of blu-tac or whatever you call it and mount one of those small standard CPU fans on the card heatsink, it might sound crazy but I was having a similar problem with my last rig and that made for a great jury rig until the software sorted it's **** out. Just be sparing with the Tac because it's insulatory. http://themittani.com - Because EvE has needed a proper news site for ages |

Just FYI, the patch bumped some of my gfx settings; like shadows etc. to high. People might want to doublecheck their settings.. |
