Yes but when today and how long will we have to gather the vouchers and where are they to be delivered?
Man I'd take a floridian punchcard any day over this...

Quote:
Each of the thousands of candidate vouchers that have been handed out has an electrical chip in it that allows the Administration to track the location and ownership of it. Even so, it will take the Administration several days to sort through the heavy data load and come up with the final results.

The election missions will removed during downtime today. The results will be posted at the end of the week.

I suppose, once the agents stop giving out vouchers and they are all handed in, it would not then do any harm to say how many we have each got.
Whatever, congratulations to whoever gets through, they deserve some reward for this terrible experience, and profound and heartfelt commiserations to people who miss out.
If nothing else, this has been a learning experience for me. I now know what not to expect and will not get caught twice.

I would still know if we do compete over the top 5 in each region, or top 5 across regions for the candidate. As CCP given out some miss leading information regarding this.

I believe... it's the top corporation in each region. 6 regions. 3 candidates. 18 navy dominix.
then again it could well be 3 navy dominix and a hearty handshake to the runners up.
Give me a hanging chad!!!

Edited by: Mad Jenny on 30/05/2005 08:34:31 I've spent a lot of time in this event for the purpose of winning this stage and getting the shiny new battleship. Somehow the last weeks make me wonder if it wouldn't be better to lose and be over with it instead of win and have to go through something similar desastrous like this event. Generally I'm healed of this and I'll not join any CCP run event again - just too bad I already spend loads of time in THIS event _______________________________________________

Now that the madness are over (hopefully), anyone want to reveal their numbers? Not like you can do a mad dash and do a lot of voucher missions anymore ;-)

Given the info there's no need to collect the vouchers at the same place and is now a good time to stop buying them?

In essence + verge vendor regions alone the market has seen a volume of about 15k foiritan vouchers change hands since start of event.
the rough amount of isk spent to purchase was 5 to 10 billion...
lucky the event was structured to allow everyone to participate, even if it was as a gofer for the rich players.

I for one am *very* glad its over. Like more ppl above, I've learned my lesson (for the second time), no more events. I really hope my corp doesnt win the election, otherwise we'll get another six months of mindnumbing boredom, prolly also without any support from whoever manages these events.

I did both in the devblog regarding the event and on this event forum. Whoever got the most isk got a greater chance of winning, not because they did the most missions to harvest the most vouchers, but because they was in a position where they could buy themselfs to victory.
* Vouchers should never been tradeable on the market, escrow or usefull for anyone else than those who aquired them through missions.
* Vouchers missions should never been open for anyone else than the signed up corps's for the event.
But hey, when you look at the world today, cash is what rules politics. Just look at how much they spend on elections and such over in the US, crazy.

It would be funny to find out that the buying selling had no effect and it was just a little ticker that added to a corps number each time a corp member finished a mission
That would make me laugh

Dev Blog .....
# Note that the voucher rewards are not region-specific, meaning that a voucher received from agent in, for instance, Solitude, can be used by a corporation competing in Verge Vendor or anywhere else.
# Similarly, vouchers received are not tied to the recipient player or his corporation. Thus, vouchers won by a player belonging to Corp A can be traded to Corp B and will then count in the total vouchers owned by Corp B for winning purposes.
..... END of Dev Blog.

But you don't know date when they start count, and if you still have buy order and you'll be calculated before they are filled, you'll be p***d off :)

I am still waiting for Nebulai or CCP to come back and tell us why they said an newspiece would be put up - and it didn't.
I went so far as to argue that we were lied to, you would have thought that would have provoked some response.
When someone sets up an event and takes a months EVE subscription from people who participate in that event, those paying custoners should be entitled to expect them to handle it competently, and that includes properly setting out fair rules at the outset and sticking to them.
The silence from CCP is deafening and damning.

The Administration has come under heavy criticism for its handling of the election campaign, both from the public and the presidential candidates themselves. Eman Autrech even went so far in a recent speech at a rally that he accused Agenbaert Goisin, head of the Federal Administration, of 'attempting to sabotage the elections for some nefarious purpose.' Goisin is still to respond to those allegations, though Chief Coordinator Dasbrulier has went on record stating that the elections were a serious business and needed to be governed with care. Nevertheless, it is widely expected that heads will roll once a new president has been elected.
Seems like they just RP that, and then everything is supposed to be okay (hehe)

Yeh we asked them to stop the crappy excuse of a event for what, 3 weeks ago? 4?
I dont feel that they deserve a thankyou tbh. I still dont understand why they dident find it appropiate to reply to this thread, or the other threads we made. nebulais reply was worthless so it doesnt count. What i want now, is a dev to reply and say they are sorry that they wasted my time for allmost a month. Yeh in my dreams..
And i wont ebay my accounts, no noobs will be running around making my chars look stupid

Lets give the poor apprentice some time to figure out how SQL works - and a little more time to get the querys done that will return the results. None of us wants the results to be halfway done with need of being recounted or being unfair in some way.
We asked them to stop this madness - and it seems the FINALLY someone passed this on to the right person (apprentice asked daddy? - just to stay in the picture).
Right now I am pretty disappointed from CCP - ending the mission running just stoped this from rapidly getting worse. My current expectations are that we won't hear anything from this election for a month or two - meanwhile a half done content update will come out. After the content update we will get the Navy Doms (which are slightly devalued by way bigger ships becoming available) and an idea on whats coming next - and the first stages of this MAYBE coming in October - earliest. _______________________________________________
