EVE ONLINE NEEDS MORE GAMEMASTER INTERACTION!!!
It would be soo cool to have some more events. I've played intensely for a year now, and I only experienced 2 events. The first one was where we were hunting a guy called Caleb something, where I actually won a +4 Perception Implant (Worth 40 mil at the time), and the second was the recent Titan-event.
Why not let some gamemasters spend a few hours every day, flying round looking for oppotunities to make an event. It could be, that he bumped into another gamemaster and suddenly accused him of sleeping with his wife or something, promising a reward of a +4 implant for his frozen corpse.
Such events would really give many players the edge they miss in this otherwise fantastic game..
..just a suggestion

Edited by: Joshua Foiritain on 19/05/2005 14:05:52 Theres multiple events a day, though obviously in a universe as big as eve's not everyone can join in on them and running into one often involves luck.
Edit: Also, Gamemasters dont do events. They answer petitions. AURORA ISD volunteers do events ---------------------------

I wasn't aware.
Are there any means of finding info on these events?

Events, contrary to many players perceptions, are done by event personnel, not game masters. Event personnel are volunteers and therefore cannot answer your petitions and are not responsible for game development. Game masters have their work cut out for them answering player petitions
The events team works hard to provide believable, well thought out, and fun events for the community. All I can say is to keep watching local; you never know when an event might hit you.
PS: Keep an eye on news pieces about events happening in EVE. Odds are we're involved in it. _______________________________________________

I know this is a nasty question to ask these days - are you event guys actually in charge of the Gallente Election Event, too? _______________________________________________

The Aurora producers are not involved with the mainstream Gallente event. Larger events of this scale are done by CCP and we assist where needed

Neb, that's excellent information, for new players and old. Wouldn't that call for a sticky? To Err is human, to really screw it up, you need a computer! |
