Edited by: Falzone on 29/05/2005 20:11:00 moved from general discussion - Grosvenor Corama Edited by: Falzone on 20/05/2005 03:10:55 Edited by: Falzone on 20/05/2005 03:10:34 Dissolution is proud to Announce we are starting a winner takes all lottery of our own. Tickets will cost 1 mil isk each with a maximum of 2 tickets a person for the time being (at least until I figure out a way to mass print names on tickets). Simply send 1 million isk per ticket max of 2 tickets to Falzone. No noob alts here. Pls write tickets in the subject line and the number you are purchasing.
The lottery will be done the old fashioned way. For each ticket (1 mil isk) that is sent i will write down your name on a piece of paper and throw that paper into a hat. Then someone will reach into that hat and pick out the winner of the 150 million isk. No elaborate lottery computer programs at work here just the luck of the draw. I understand that some people may think this is a scam but all I can't do is give you my word it is not.
This first lottery will run from now (02:56)EVE Time on Thursday May 19 until Thursday May 26 at 03:00 EVE time. Next lottery will be held the following week. 150 mil or possibly more prize per week. Winners will be contacted by evemail and winnings will be sent out immediately after the name is drawn. Once I recieve your ticket money I will post your name and how many tickets you bought under this thread on the forums. Hopefully I will get something more professional looking made for future lotteries.
Thanks And Goodluck, Falzone Ceo of Dissolutuon (Gooch)
Can a mod sticky this please? |

Well, since you dont have a reputation, now what makes it legit?
Perhaps paying the prize money to a reputable person for safekeeping as a kind of guarantee would be a good start.

Yes members of my own corp are not eligible nor are their alts. However since I cannot check the accounts of my members for their alts I cannot guarantee they will not enter without my knowledge.
And reguarding my history with Techell. I admit I stole many battleships from them a long time ago and I still regret doing that. I hurt people I called my friends and not a day goes by when I don't think about that. However that is in the past. I am trying now to make ammends. I understand it is hard to trust someone with your money in the time of scamming in eve however I am trying to do my best to tell the truth. |

Hmmm, hard to enter into a lottery helpd by someone who openly admits to stealing battleships, but since it's only 2 million isk, why not? I spend more then that on ammo ***********************************

Men who have morals and "try" their best to keep them are less trustworthy than those who have none but claim otherwise. Still not sure which you are, but you're either really weak or an absolute genius. _____________________________________ Perpetually driven, your end is our beginning. Actually, taking part of these kind of lottery is very teaching experiment at rather cheap price. Like, for wasting a few millions ISK, one might learn to be a bit more wary of people in RL, and save some more valuable currency in the future..
I just have this nagging feeling, no matter how trustable corp holds the ISKs, if you only sell 30 tickets and are about to give 150M as prize, the name drawn from the hat would be your non-noob alt.
But if you really want to start having lotteries for fun, how about: - Make up the rules - Have NAGA to hold the prize money - Keep public updated list of recipient & tickets or have NAGA to keep list of sold tickets if you dont want it public - Have NAGA to randomly select the winner from the list, and wire the ISKs, with left-over being sent to you.
So, for small fee you can hold 'trustable' lotteries, and to win or lose ISKs based on your business sense.
-Lasse
P.S. You repenting your earlier acts, I take you've long ago paid in fully the damages you caused..

thanks for your opinion heikki however running a lottery actually involes me running the lottery not just letting naga handle everything. if you think this is a scam fine don't buy tickets. But i'm not gonna ask naga to do all the work. Also I don't see you raising any of these issues with the big lottery so I don't see how you could only have issue with mine. |

sorry I'm late with the drawing all I just got back from work. Sadly there wasn't much interest in the lottery so not many tickets were sold however I will still give out the 150 million I just hope that the next lottery I hold I can get some advertising help from ccp. drumroll pls...the winner is swaytech. congratulations!! Hopefully in the future if theres more interest in the lottery I will be able to give away more than 1 prize. |

Because you openly admitted stealing a Battleships from a Corp and expect people to trust you to run a lottery fairly.
I'm not saying you haven't changed, but they don't make fraudulent people Bank Managers for obvious reasons, why trust a theif to run a lottery.
Before you ask everyone should be given a second chance, but once a thief you have to work damn hard to gain back any respect in RL or otherwise.
