eve is on e:, but had to format windows which was on c:
do i have to dl and re-instal all the client (450mb) or is they a quicker way to do it?

no, you do not need to reinstall
unlike most single player games, many MMORPG's(including WOW, SWG, and EVE) will work fine even if you dont reinstall them before running them
i did that to one of my computers just last week.. find the .exe file from the game, make a shortcut to it on the desktop, and voila, you have your mmo's "back" :)

If he has formatted C: then of course he needs to download the full install again.
His Hard disk has been wiped, the exe file does surely not exist?

Hmm.. IF the EVE is in c drive, of course it will be wiped out..
But like I do.. I keep all of my games one drive like d, all of the programs in c, temp in e, etc.

to clarify:
if eve, was not on the drive that was formatted, it does not need to be reinstalled, i have done this many times myself

If E: and C: are physically the same drive, i.e. two logical partitions on the same hard disk, then you may find that you need to reinstall eve.
I had this problen when i formatted my system partition on my last computer, and for some reason, the Eve client that was on the partition marked F: would not run as some of the grequired GFX stuff was missing.
Try the client, if it works then you're ok, if it doesn't reinstall it.

No, you dont need to reinstall but next time backup the reg for any game your not sure about and add it back when you have reinstalled windows.. Useful for games that need cdkeys.
