This particular issue and its' solution was brought to our attention earlier by the launcher team. The following steps should resolve the problem:
1. Delete the Launcher folder which can be found in your EVE Online client folder. 2. Download the launcher installer from the following URL:
http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/launcherInstaller/EVEOnlineLauncher_1_32_tq.exe
3. Once downloaded can you run the .exe file and direct the launcher to your client installation when prompted. 4. Once the launcher installation is complete can you start the launcher using the 'EVE Online Launcher' link which can be found in your clients folder.
If you see that your account settings have gone (your username will not be visible in the login screen) then simply restart the launcher and client. GM Arcade | Customer Support

Hi, dear GM Arcade!
I'm playing eve almost everyday and till today there was no problems with patching Eve. But today when I tried to launch eve I've encontered problem that http://cdn1.eveonline.com/ is unavialable. My installer shous message that connection attempt was failed.
First I decides that there some problems in my connection. I tried to download some other *.exe from I-net. But they was succesfull. Then I tried to download evepatch manually and the problem with http://cdn1.eveonline.com/ avialability occur.
So I used proxy to download evepatch and it was succesfull. This patch was imported manualy and installed so Eve was runned as well as before. But when I close Eve and started Eve-launcher again I have to install (import) patch again.
I don't know what to do because I even can't run repair or download new Eve client, becouse http://cdn1.eveonline.com/ is unavialable or when I downloading Eve Installer (via proxy) it can not connect to server for further download. Using proxy to download 18.9 GB of Eve is imposible to me because I never tried to use it for such volume of bits.

Running three EVE under three different folders. Launched the patching process at three different times under three different circumstances, on two different hard drives. It broke my three clients regarldless of the context so I guess we are not mad.
Suggesting that CCP Devs take a look at how the launcher would work if we have a special character in our windows profile name (+» for my part), it was the cause of some bugs on other games. After years and years of research around ice mining, they finally found how to make snowballs again :D |

Would just like to point out that losing all of my settings (especialy dozens of market quick bar folders and entries) is a huge pain in the ass.
You keep doing it.
Stop it.

I tried to log on for the first time today aprox. 8 hours later this GM post and had the very same issue but all went smooth after following the GM instruction. However, it makes me wonder what the reason might be for not having replaced the faulty client download with the fix; it would had saved me some headache at least... |

Hi Devs,
I have exactly same issue after Jan 16th patch.
Error message: The server you are connecting to could not be reached. Please check your internet settings and restart EVE: launcher. The URL that could not be reached was: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/469969/repairdata_469969.dat
After looking in forums found this thread and tried to delete patcher and download that from the link you provided. but server can't be reached....
Please help.
Edit: I managed to download http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/launcherInstaller/EVEOnlineLauncher_1_32_tq.exe file using proxy...So it's definitely CCP server issue. However, after starting that exe file, it didn't launch giving another error. I guess I'm stuck now... |

Ok guys,
I had exactly same issue, couldn't reach cdn1.eveonline.com neither manually or through launcher after Jan 16th patch.
Workaround: 1. Run Eve online Launcher. It will check content and will try to download a patch from your version to latest (write those down) and launcher will fail to connect to server. 2. Download it manually by replacing your version and current version from below link http://content.eveonline.com/471766/EVE_Online_469969-471766_win.zip this is for Jan 21st patch. 3. unzip that file into Eve folder. You'll see EVE_Online_469969-471766_win.patch file in Eve folder if done correctly. 4. Run your online launcher again! It will patch and you in.
I have a very good guess on what's happening here, which I'm sure devs too busy to notice or care. It has to do with localization. My eve client's in-game settings were set to English language, however online launcher started in Russian, which has different symbols causing firewall in cdn1.eveonline.com server to reject incoming traffic, perceiving it as a threat.
Cheers. |

I'd like to see a launcher download link at the download page. My launcher was broken a few patch ago due patch messup and was able to get if fixed again by extracting "around the clock" the launcher from the 2 z7 payloads from the full install (why on earth spitted in the 2 payloads) and got it working again. Even the repair.exe was not able to get it fixed. |
