I was wondering if after 2 years of solid game play and development, there are sepcific characters who have amassed tremendous skills giving them "legendary" or "genius" status.
I was also curious if it would be possible to exterminate these characters as I would imagine they'd represent a great threat to their enemies. (By extermination I mean killing him/her and all his/her clones).

Any ideas on skills, skill points attributes, net worth etc.? I wonder just how far one can go in two years... I assume he roams solely on 0.0 and always with an entourage right?

When docked in a station click on the "missions" icon (near fittings/insurance etc etc)
There should be three options, one of them is bounties. The 20 or so highest bounty pirates in the game are there. Read their bio's - some are pretty interesting.
I think the top bounty person had it placed on their head when they left the game so the legend lives on so to speak.
The character "Tank CEO" is quite notorious from the start of the game. I've heard many old players tell how they fled in terror from his Moa (in the days when a cruiser was uber)
If you want to meet him I've seen him a couple of times recently in Harroule/Ostingele. I'm sure he'll be glad to give you a one way ticket to your friendly cloning facility

Edited by: Dark Shikari on 29/05/2005 14:37:03 Its not based on your skills, its based on what you do.
Istvaan Shogaatsu, for example, is the head of GHSC and has organized massive griefing operations, huge wars, devastating scams, and the legendary heist of over 20 billion ISK worth of items and blueprints.
Tank CEO is a notorious pirate. Extremely famous. -- The best description of alliances, ever:

Agreed that it's your actions, not SP that are important

Eve's top chars have about 30 million skillpoints atm.
But there are quite alot of them, and no they aren't a much greater threat to other players then for example a player with 'just' 20 million skillpoints.
The threat a player constitutes comes from his skill at playing the game mainly, not as much as from his skillpoints.
As for legendary or let's say celebrity characters, there are some in the game yes, altho mostly known to older players, not new ones. _______________________________________________

I have a question to those bounties. When i check the bounties on the misson tab it always shows me a player named "princess podkill" as the player with the highest bounty on him/her. (Shows a bounty of roughly 250 mio) I ve heard though the top player has a 1 bio + bounty on him. Is this something like a regional top 10 ? It also seems not to update ever, cause the list with these people never change and the amount of isk on them always stays the same whenever i look. Is this a bug?

All the high bounties are self-placed, as if you placed a high bounty on a pirate he would just have a friend pod him to claim it. Bounty means nothing in terms of notoriety. -- The best description of alliances, ever:

You surely are right, but this is soooo wrong. Another perfect example of how a good idea is perverted by the player community to help their own ends.
That means, that placing a bounty will result in giving money to those scrupulous enough to exploit the weakness of the system.
Well, I think I will not place a bounty on anybodys head then...

Perhaps there could be a change to the system. Maybe when you have a bounty high enough stations no longer accept your clone? Something like that would be both interesting and .... annoying.

Mean thing to do: Find people with a security rating low enough to place a bounty on their head (-1.0 or lower) but who don't have a bounty...and put 5,000 ISK (minimum bounty) no their head. So insulting... :D ___________________________________________ ^^^***---All things serve the Beam---***^^^ |
