Alexander Renoir wrote:Felsusguy wrote:The problem is bounty spamming [...] Thats right pal! The current system is much worser, compared to the old one. Sure you do not get all bounty within one kill and you can not farm your own bounty. But AS IT IS.. Every stupid guy use THIS system to harass or annoy other people just because they can. If you write something in an official channel in eve and you currently have NO bounty you can be sure that you will have a bounty within seconds! You do not need to know the guy who gave you this bounty nor do you need to have to interact with him before. AND THIS IS JUST DUMB! CCP must implement a radical brake to stop this lol-bounty-spamming! I once was a supporter in a help channel in eve. But seconds after the server came up after "retribution", some idiot spend an bounty to all persons he could detect in this HELP CHANNEL. Have a look at the best bounty hunters out there. Take the kills and the earned money and you will see, that they do not have killed the most wanted people in EVE.. They just have killed most of the 100k - 1mill bounty chars. In other words they are just ordinary gankers who killed someone with a lol-bounty. CCP MUST reintroduce the brake beeing unable to spend bounties on Chars with null or positive security rating! And until they will do so I have canceled two accounts, which where payed with real money! I am not a criminal.. I never done wrong things and I am just an missionrunner who wants to play a game and just wants some fun with EVE. And therefore I do not wish to be harassed from someone with 100k ISK. CCP do not wish to have my real money (Euro) anymore. So I wish you a nice time with your rest of your customers CCP. I AM GONE! Before you all claim that I am the only one who hates this bounty system let me say that the last GM used a "mass response" to answer my petition.
Why would CCP remove one of the few isk sinks that are actually working? I do believe that popping a newbies bounty cherry while they are still in the starter zones is something to be discouraged (by being made just not the done thing, not by being a tool/gm being a killjoy). However. You receive bounties when people think you deserve it. Obviously someone thought that you had done something that warranted the action. EvE is not law-code it is ehonour-code, if people decide you have broken their ehonour, you have performed a crime against them and warrant whatever they see fit. |

Alexander Renoir wrote:For me, the best part of the CSM7 Meeting Minutes was: Soundwave @ CSM7 Meeting Minutes wrote: Soundwave clarified that he doesnGÇÖt mind people being bothered by it, because no EVE player has the right to be shut off from the rest of the world. He sees bounty hunting as something thatGÇÖs impacting players playing EVE as a single player game in a way nothing they tried before, and was glad they were interacting with the community whether negatively or positively. He suspected most people complaining were annoyed because they were not used to being able to be GÇ£pokedGÇ¥ by other players.
Alekseyev Karrde wrote: Alek praised this statement: AMEN SOUNDWAVE!
THAT shows me two things: First is, that it is strange and hypocritical from Soundwave that he GÇ£doesn`t mind people being botheredGÇ¥ with this new bounty system. And on the other hand the whole CCP Team (GM; Dev; CCP and Volunteer etc.) is excluded from the new bounty system at once! DidnGÇÖt he said that no one GÇ£has the right to be shut off from the rest of the worldGÇ¥? The second thing is, that Alekseyev Karrde does not know this and praises Soundwave as new messiah! And another thing: CCP Solomon wrote: The goal would be to ensure they understand that having a bounty doesnGÇÖt make them attackable in highsec, which Solomon confirmed was a point of confusion on the forums even for experienced players.
Solomon.. you are wrong or just want to play down the problem. We all know that a bounty does not make a pilot a legal target. It is the bounty itself that is the problem! As good guy you do not wish to have a bounty. Especially if you have good standings to CONCORD GÇô WHO has control of the bounty system (pool). If you have never done some harm to another player NO ONE should be able to spend a bounty for nothing on his head!
So...your counter to Soundwave's point is to scream, cry and stamp around like a child?
When you have a reasonable answer as to why you should be able to shut yourself off from the rest of the universe and play EVE like a single player game, you should probably try again.
As for no bounties on CCP or ISD characters, we all know they'd be bountied in the billions ten minutes after such a thing was allowed, which would fill all the leaderboards with characters who, unless they're participating in one of those CCP roams, will never have their bounties claimed. |

One of my answeres is 8 postst above your last post here.
I love to have a good reputation. This is why I never would scam or gank some one. But this bounty gives me a touch of someone who had done wrong things. This is not acceptable for me.
WITHOUT ANY criminal act it should not be allowed to tag some one as criminal via a bounty! The current bounty may not be game breaking, but it is the same crap as CCP would allow that I would be able to re-customize the look of your avatar. I have no right to do that.
Perhaps my arguments are hard to understand. But NO criminal action must exclude someone from getting a bounty from a player you never met in Game or Forum!
This Char "Alexander" does not play the game. He was not able to make enemies. But he has a bounty for no reason. This cant be the default behavior of the bounty system! |

Your posting is a criminal act, ergo you deserve your bounty.
Perhaps my arguments are hard to understand. Under no circumstances should you be able to avoid any form of consequence for your terrible posting. If I could be bothered to log in right now, I'd add to your bounty.
In fact:
CCP should allow us to set bounties directly from the forum. |

This is what I mean. This bounty system is made for griefing or trolling. Enemies on the forum for typing my opinion concerning a change in EVE? Spend as much bounty as you can Danika. But do me a favour choose an even amount of ISK. I can only hope that Vaju Enki is not one of your chars. He spend 100k ISK on my bounty pool. This is a little bit more. |

Well you could look at it that way, but people still had a reason to place a bounty on you. Whether those reasons were weak in you opinion, doesn't mean they were less valid in theirs.
As far as not being able to place bounties on CCP and Devs is concerned. What is the point, when they only fly ships that we cannot kill them in anyway?
All that being said, I can see the argument for an increase to the minimum amount.
CCP Zulu..... Forcing players to dock at the captain's quarters is a form of what we actually wanted to get through, which is making Incarna a seamless part of the EVE Online experience. |

Why did i put a bounty on you? Because i felt like it, it's that simple. Not stop crying and HTFU. If you want instant gratification, go stimulate your genitals. EvE is Hard, deal with it. |
