Right now you accept a mission, run this mission, and then decide if you want to split with fleet or not.
I'd be interesting if you could accept mission or accept mission as fleet. The missions would stay the same if you hit the accept button but if you hit the accept as fleet button, then the payout and LP would be increased but so would the difficulty of the mission.
This would also remove the option on the end of splitting the payout or not (since it would be tied to the option you selected). This would mean that to share standing to bump others you would have to select the higher difficulty missions. At the same time someone who found missions at that level too easy, could select the fleet option for higher payout and difficulty, allowing them to move to the next level of mission agent much faster. |

I +1'd but then retracted. The problem I see is that it would be easily exploitable. I can fleet with my alt, accept mission for fleet and still complete it solo, increasing payout. If the mission difficulty is increased beyond capability of completing it alone, there's a chance it would be too difficult if I flew it with friend(s). And also there is issue of balancing risk/effort to rewards.
Bottom line is: there are already missions "for fleets". They are called Incursions. |

If you read my original post, I actually suggest the option of selecting 'Accept As Fleet' to increase the level of the missions. There's a big step between Missioning, Missioning as a Fleet, and Incursions... a very big step. I think this is a great way to fill the gap. |

I have read and I believe I have understood. You want two options: "accept for solo" with nominal difficulty and rewards, and "accept for fleet" with increased difficulty and upgraded rewards.
To what I say, what prevents me from accepting for fleet and completing solo? Look, there is quite a margin between the proficiency level of the player who can barely complete an L4 mission and the hardened veteran who grinds them like there's no tomorrow. So the main question is, how high you want the bar to be set?
If it's too low, it's just extra ISK for free for vets.
If you set it too high, it will be too high for noobs.
And I'm afraid that both those cases overlap, so there may be no middle ground.
I'm not saying your idea is useless. It's nice one actually. I just don't believe it would deliver enough effect for the effort to be implemented. |

thats the usual problem with this idea. I take my uber tengu pilot, mix with an alt and it be more fuel to the fire of too much isk made in empire thread to come.
And it be legit. With my tengu pilots setup I tbh would happily take a triple helping if not more of say gurista BS'. Increase BS count by 3 or 4 times.....the bounties would be nice and it be really worth firing up the noctis when done.

This would be similar to putting level 5s in high sec. Because of the ship types in high sec it would require a fleet.
Now as for the seasoned vets . If you run level 4 missions and don't fleet up with an alt in a command ship like an or a with siege links or at bare minimum an alt with a noctus to salvage and allow you to gain leadership skill bonuses then your not a seasoned vet. Otherwise your leaving money floating in space.
What I imagine this change will do is send the data and links to the fleet of where to warp to for the mission and add more difficulty to mission running.
Now as for different from incursions vanguard sites are similar to level 4 s but shitloads more dps and damage types are not static. I don't know about you but I have never run a site would logi support. Considering the ships used in incursions are often Mega billion dollar ships fit for resists and heavy dps. This already sounds like a big step up from level 4 missions as is.
The other advantage in incursions is the fleet can warp together into a site. Missions don't have this option the mission requesting pilot warps in often not being the best person to tank damage and waits for the fleet to warp in behind. This is an easy change giveinfo for warp to to all fleet members for missions site.
If your not coming comfortable making it something that a single person can tank then make it hard enough to give osprey logi a challenge that will be more dps then a solo can tank anyways. |
