Please tell me this is a "I want help finding the best high sec targets, but don't know what to look for" thread.
First hint, It's not Dodixie and it's not fed navy.

Sorry I do not understand you reply, maybe I am not clear. I try again.
There is a level 4 Federation Navy security agent in the dodixie system that I want to work for. I would like suggestions on the best ship to use to give max isk/hr. I used a drake to get this far, but I got a few billions and wonGÇÖt mind spending it on the right pimped out ship.

Just saying . . . If you are trying to trick people into posting with their mains so that you can hunt them, then using a character from the corp
"Care Bear Exterminaters" & "Suicides-R-Us"
. . . might not be the best idea.
I would suggest creating an alt in corp 'Carebear rainbow unicorn love snuggels" and trying again
Actually, that sounds like a great name for a suicide corp.

I don't know about the absolute best. Pirate Battleships and Marauders are always good bets. Missiles and projectiles have good damage variability, hybrids do good damage against common rats in that area. Lasers are great, but if you're focusing in the Gallente area, you'll do better with other damage types.
Machariel / Vargur do well; projectile ammo has changed a bit since I last paid good attention, but iirc the kin ammo is pretty lousy, so you'll be using a lot of thermal.
Vindicator / Kronos will do great kin/therm damage, might be slightly annoying to be limited on damage type against certain rats, but they will perform well against most. As a general rule Vindicator does higher damage and Kronos has stronger tank.
Golem / Navy Raven are great ships with good damage variability. Navy Raven won't get you the best ISK/hr but it is very good on cost/benefit and performs well with limited skills. Golem is a brute, many people report amazing results with it, but I have never flown it. Those who I know who have flown it are all happy with the performance.
Nightmare / Paladin I probably wouldn't go for given the damage profile, but they have great damage and damage projection for other applications.
There are some other options in the t1 and navy faction areas, but I wouldn't choose those over the aforementioned ships due to limited damage output. |

Galente space around Dodixie will be mostly Serpentis and Angel rats though you will get some others I think you will find the majority to be Thermal and Explosive weak (going off an old memory so i could be wrong) so you will probally find Minmatar to be the better ships to use. If your working off only a few hundred million then you will probally want to get a maelstrom, slow ship but efficient at killing rats, and the shield bonuses built into it will work to your advantage.
The end all be all of Angel killing ships will be the Machariel but your going to need a little ove a billion to buy and outfit it for missions.
Will most likely catch hell for suggesting a ship but what the heck. Reason and logic never wins over Stubborn and Convinced-á (But-áI still try..) |

Sorry misread your original post and thought you said a few milion not billion, LOL my bad, the Machariel XL Boost and Boost amp, with a really good invul and MWD, 800 autocannons. Your can not go wrong with a Mach in gallente space. Reason and logic never wins over Stubborn and Convinced-á (But-áI still try..) |

I have heard the Mach and Nightmare are good pve ship and flown those 2 ships back in the day. Is there another comparable ship I could use. Is the Vargur any good , any good gallente ship. Probably not since most are drone based. I donGÇÖt know Any good amaar ships or is the NM the pinnacle CN raven, I donGÇÖt think I can do more missiles

The Vargur does have many of the advantages of the Machariel, but it doesn't have the Mach's raw speed, and the Marauders skill has a long set of prerequisites. On the other hand, the Vargur has active-shield-tanking bonuses, and it can hold more ammunition and cap boosters (and it goes through ammunition at a much slower rate than the Mach). |

Also worth noting: the Mach can fit arties and there are times you might want them. Scarlet blitz for instance.
The Mach's speed is also nice because it allows you to pick your range: close for damage or long for tank. In the end I've found it applies more damage as a result. |

You can put arties on a Vargur just cant put anything else on after that. :) not totally true, but esentially true. I have a friend that uses an Arty Varg for incursions but of course a logi handles his tank for him, not sure if you can fit local reps and arties and still be projecting damage.

Mach would be the best choice if you want the highest ISK/Hr. Nightmare is very bad if you use it in non-amarr space.
As for marauders, they are not so efficient compared to a Pirate BS.

Vindi does higher damage? I'm pretty sure the Kronos has a 100% bonus compared to the Vindi's 37.5% bonus to Large Hybrid turret damage.
Major difference is the WAIT TIME! |

Lol lol lol. Damn, just lol. Lol man! 10/10 Did you see the number of guns Kronos can fit? Did you see the number of guns Vindi can fit?

I would suggest not missioning out of Dodixie. Reason being too many Ninja Salvagers. I missioned there for about 2 weeks and gave it up. About every 3rd mission I had another pilot in my mission taking the salvage. As far as a ship to recommend I would say a Navy Mega or Domi(if you are able to keep your drones safe). These are much cheaper and do the job just as good.

Kronos: 10 effective turrets Vindicator: 11 effective turrets

Miko Lee, I guess like all threads of this type there are many opinions of what is best to use, if you going to mission in gallente space the rats are going to be the largest contributing factor as we discussed earlier. The next thing to decide is how much do you want to spend on the ship, if we are talking billions then a pirate faction BS would be the obviouse choice, if your spending under a billion then the options should focus on what you have trained more than what others recomend (t1 guns ona machariel might as well be a maelstrom).
I can say with certainty that after training the two factions BS to 5 and the t2 guns to 5 that my Mach is the best ship, conversly my Amarr alt runs in a nightmare that's comparable and exceeds the mach in many ways but i still wouldn't recomend it as a solo mission runner.
I wouldn't recomend drone boats as the new AI has yet to be ironed out, and i find lasers to be limited in there damage types, Missles still have alot of punch in them but I don't use them due to delayed damage. So it all comes down to the weapons you use best and like the most, Hope that helps a little.
And yes dont mission in dodixie to many toons looking ot make you their next meal ticket, find a quieter system to call home, You might try ACLAN, quite, out of the way, no low sec boundaries, and freindly expierienced locals. This is rather true. Last I checked TEARS still based out of Dodixie and had enough of a presence in surrounding systems to be annoying -- if you care a bit about salvage, of course.
If you're set on the area, I liked the agent in Aunia rather more than the Dodixie agent. Getting access to both would be prudent.

Yea, my b. Overlooked the hardpoints and was focused on the high slots for the kronos which were 7 .
I stand corrected.
