New to EVE, and started as a Gallente and was a member of the Federal Navy. I was put into the Couster system but have since moved to a different system.
I found a Corp and applied, and was accepted and joined but it is in Amarr space.
Now I am not sure that I am ready for that level of play and all of my Agents are at my original (Couster) location. I was expecting to pick up new agents in my new area.
If I want to leave this new Corp and rejoin with my original defaulted corp.
How do I do that?

Actually just rightclick on your name in local and select "Quit Corp". That will put you into your racial NPC Corp. If you don-Št have any roles in your present Corp, this process should happen instantly.
Furthermore, your "new" NPC Corp will be a different one than your starter Corp, depending on your bloodline, I believe. But don-Št fret about that, it doesn-Št really change anything. Forum-unbanned since 2011.10.20.

You can't get back into Fed Navy Academy I believe. You'll be sent to Aliastra. That said, there's nothing particularly scary about amarr space, aside from the surplus of RPers. You can find low level agents anywhere, and there will be stations somewhere that are owned by Gallente npc corps that you can do missions for. Fighting is Magic |

I would think the best place to ask for help would be your new corp. Why not just move to where they are? You should be able to go to any level 1 agent for any NPC corp and get a mission. Run a few missions and you should be able to do level 2s, and so on. If you increase your social skill and get the connections skill you'll find that it's easy to develop another set of lvl3/4 agents. |

Yeah, I actually DID move to a new location. The issue I'm seeing is when I use the agent finder, all the agents are back in my old area. 21 jumps or so away. I was actually looking for agents in the new location so I could build up my standings in this new space.
I will check with my CEO before quiting, and see if there is somehting I am just overlooking.
And Batelle, that is exacly what I was wanting to know and I couldnt seem to find the Federal Navy Academy as a valid option to join. So before I leave I wanted to be sure I wasnt just slung into another group.
Good advice here guys, (gals if any). I appreciate it. |

Yeah, I was a victim to one of them...
But I think I may have found what I was doing wrong. A buddy told me my Agent Finder filter (and I'll have to look where that is) may still be set for Galette.

Easiest way to fins agents close to you is to set all the filters to all, or any or whatever the default is, then on the bar at the top select a level agent. But to be honest if your corp is not helping through all this then you should probably leave and find a more helpful corp. I am happy to help out in game where\when I can, just mail me ingame. |

I'll look you up.
But I'm very new to the corp, and havent bothered them too much yet. I'm not dumping them just, but dont want to over burden them with NOOB questions all the time.

A few quick points:
The Mission Agents you can run are based on your standings to the NPC corp providing the missions.
If the new "mission" running corp you joined is in amarr space... and you want to run missions with them, then you have to move your operation to their local area.
To get your own missions with them, you need to gain standings with the NPC corps they use. This involves running level 1 missions until you can run level 2 missions... and so on and so forth until you can run level 4 missions with the NPC entity that provides them. It's a grind, and it can be sped up by having corp mates sharing rewards with you.
Be aware of your standings to both NPC corps and empires... if you get low enough standings with empires, then the empire faction police will chase you down and attempt to kill you when you enter there space. If your standings are too low wtih an NPC corp, then you have to run lots and lots and lots of level 1 missions until your standings improve...
*edit* I recommend using the agent finder to help you locate agents for the corp you are interested in. Also, it's a good idea to read up on Faction Standings, how you earn it/lose it, skills that help, etc...
p.s. google is your friend! |

You should ask them any questions you have. They will expect questions from new players.
It's a tough balance - someone who joins could seem experienced and they do not want to seem condescending by telling you the things that you may already know.
TBH I have found it difficult knowing who needs help and who doesn't when new members join. It is best if people ask when they have questions. Some are very self sufficient and do not really need or want to much help.
Asking saves your CEO needing to be psychic. Fix this **** See Sea Pea. |
