Well after over two years of playing and losing many ships I finally got pod killed.
I have not been in game much as of late, but I was surprised when my Condor was locked in less than one second. Now that is some lock time support going on there. Salute to those that did this, I don't know your names because I deleted the kill mail. PF-346 I think was the system. Spelling corrections welcome, but don't expect me to edit my post. |

Um, no.
It was actually more of an eye opening event that I need to stop being so isolated and maybe get with some other people to learn more about how these rats work. Who would have thought that a cruiser and battleship could lock a frigate in less than a second? Not me oviously. Maybe some PvP corp will let me join them in a battle or two, not join the corp, but more like a gange alliance type thing. Im kind of clingy to my own inactive corp, but I do need more interaction with people other than trade and agents.

you lost your pod because of the new feature which makes warp scrambler turn off right after ship explodes and not finish cycle

Thats cool how'd you get that to work? I think you'll find its actually that the cycle time is only 5 seconds now so it will almost always have deactivated by the time the pod appears in space.

They like to use smartbombs on the gate in the pf-346, i'd bet on it that you got smartbombed, they did it to me in a noob ship a while ago, didnt lose anything, i was just dead and back in station in 1 sec

Wow, I was podded in the first month
Since then I have just managed to escape many other pirate traps, gate camping being the main problem latley. ------------------------------------------------ "I feel sorry for people who don't drink, when they wake up in the morning that's the best they will feel all day" - Frank Sinatra |

Edited by: Trina Tron on 02/07/2005 16:47:05 I've said it a billon times getting poded or not is mostly just luck. I hear all these people talk about no not getting pod is all skills I never get poded I have skills. Yes becuse skills can save you from things like lag and named smart bombs and insta locks right.
Sorry for the rant ;p ---------------------------------------------------

been podded, one time out of carelessness messing around trying to take the loot from a pirate that just podded a fat ship, I missed and took too long to get to the container and BAM! BAM! whiteout. Another time leaving 0.0 with crokite, I saw the support ship and ignored my instinct, I was fast but the other guy was faster at locking. But I think I was a little careless in my tactics last time. I know keep my log running all the time so I can figure out what went wrong and how to correct my errors in survival/evasion.
Anyways near deaths are weird, I was shot to hell leaving 0.0 once and I thought I was dead I saw red and saw/heard my ship exploding but I looked around and realised I was not in a pod but the otherside of the gate in tatters with very little structure left. Very interesting. Being behind controlled Alliance space with corpses littering the belts and planets and members popping up in local sure make for some exciting mining experiences.
