Make is easy to cyno jam your held space, dirt cheap and really easy, allow people with +10 standing to still do cynos in your jamed space.
Why u might ask? Because it will take eve back to the good days of fighting system to system to system just to reach your objective, instead of simply teleporting right to there objectives and smashing them with the full force of the blob.
It gives defenders a home field advantage by letting them fall back regroup and keep chipping away peaces of the blob, and u get the support of your cap fleets and fast travel in your systems.
I don't see why it should not be harder to attack than defend.
Because if eve is missing one thing its borders.
OK pick it apart. A Dark time comes. A time of terror comes. My time. If it offends you. Stop me. |

Won't help. Need to nerf cynos completely with a mass limit. It's the only way to defeat the blob. - |

Cynojams and mass limitis are unnecessary imo.
Give cynoes a 'spool up' time where the local beacon appears, so you have time to take action against the cyno pilot.
And allow the cyno to be jammed with a warp jammer |

Bridging: Gameplay mechanics, by purest definition, this devalues titans. That being said they never expected to have this many titans in the game. Sure, a few might be able to to bypass some defenses using that titan bridge, but not as many as this was expected.
From that perspective, I feel it restores the intended spirit of the game.
Regular cyno to bring in cap ships: Not so sure on this point. Is the home field advantage supposed to mean only one side can use caps?
Wild idea, but maybe a limiting mechanic could be used instead. Something like a mass limit wormholes have, so that only a limited number of caps could come across. Or maybe just the smaller carriers, and not the moms. I dunno, just spitballin here. Cloaking being on a ten minute manual cycle timer? (Author: Bree Okanata) Fine. As long as there is a ten minute timer for being docked in a station. Also, you can't stop moving in the game. Just add in a way so every ten minutes you are randomly warped to the nearest other player. Keeps people from going AFK. |

A mass limit will allwase he gotten around by simply "building more titans."
Now making the titan have to jump along side his fleet would be cool. EX. Titan uses the bridge button everyone has 30 sec to use the titan before its transported to the cyno.
That along side of my idea to force borders in to eve would make for some new fighting. A Dark time comes. A time of terror comes. My time. If it offends you. Stop me. |

All most no posts that must mean no one disagree's.
All automated intel should be removed from the game including jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel. |

Just to be clear, we aren't planning on jamming these too, are we? Cloaking being on a ten minute manual cycle timer? (Author: Bree Okanata) Fine. No no boobs get to stay,
But we need a way to force combat before people reach there objective.
Aka where this idea comes from.
I'm from old eve from before jump drives, I remember the meat grinder that we had to go through just to GET to what we wanted to attack. And all the fun we had.
That's part of the problem now days u cyno in to the system blob the defenders and then grind structures.

Game play wise, I would rather have several smaller good fights trying to get to an objective, and run out of time.... Instead of just popping into the system and blobbing things. Structure grinds may achieve objectives, but they get dull. Cloaking being on a ten minute manual cycle timer? (Author: Bree Okanata) Fine. A couple of thoughts:
1.) If you can allow blue's to cyno into your cyno jammed system, you don't solve any force projection issues.... AT ALL... as you and your friends can instantly travel to the edge of your territory... and then to any non-cynojammed system at will. If a system is cyno jammed, it is cynojammed to ALL PILOTS... period... no exceptions!!
2.) If you want to limit force projection... allow the creation of terrain.... Currently, the Capital jump drives allow travel via "how far" something is away in LY's. This creates a secondary terrain independent of gate travel, which is good, especially when "adjacent" regions are far apart in terms of light year such that capitals cannot jump there even if gate travel creates a direct path for sub-caps. In my opinion, an interesting way to limit force projection is for cyno-jammers to not only prevent cyno's being lit in system, but to inhibit ships from traveling through that system via jump mechanics...
For example: [Sys A] -- 2 ly -- [Sys B] -- 3 ly -- [Sys C] Gate travel forces you to travel from system A to B to C. Jump drives allow you to travel from A directly to C as long as your jump range is greater than 5 LYs. It would be interesting if a Cynojammer in Sys B prevented jump travel between A and C. I'm not sure if this is possible, but it would definitely be interesting... and any force projection you setup to leave your zone of influence is also a route to enter your zone of influence...
Note: This might be exploitable and needs further examination.

A bottleneck effect, if you will. An obstacle at the very least. Cloaking being on a ten minute manual cycle timer? (Author: Bree Okanata) Fine. Cyno jammers can still be disabled by subcapital fleets... And creating bottlenecks would be an interesting effect... potentially... |

By focusing strategic value, you would almost certainly draw combat forces willing to contest it. Alliances would be pushed into fighting over key systems with these qualities, to secure or capture the systems behind them. Cloaking being on a ten minute manual cycle timer?
