Recently found out that I can connect a USB Keyboard and Mouse to the PS3, Have yet to try it, but this pretty much eliminates the reason why I hated FPS on Consoles (the F'ing controller) |

Even better if you buy the Dust514 bluetooth PS3 keyboard you get those wierd triangle , square , circle buttons on the KB itself and no wires - you also get a permanent Daemon shotgun and AUR.
See here. http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_2?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=dust514

That looks good but at -ú50 a key board, you'd be better off just buying a cheap wired one and plugging it in.
Plus no Dust 514 mouse? Only 40 rounds per gun... I hate reloading in the middle!

The Dust Virtual Items actually have a real -ú-ú value as well. So its not too bad.
For me however it is the controller buttons being on the KB which really help, because although I play with mouse and KB I still have to use the controller pretty frequently ingame. Once I have this keyboard I won't have too.
Right now I am using a -ú5 wired keyboard which is doing the job. |

Better than just porting over to PC, I think they should do something even more radical eventually.
Make DUST and EVE one client that works on PS 3/ 4 when it comes AND PC.
DUST/WiS is the free to play component and you can alwys log in. Flying in Eve is PLEX/subscription. I would like to see combined skills as well with Eve characters able to train DUST skills and vice versa.
All this from a PS or a PC. |

That seems unnecessarily awkward. I certainly wouldn't mind having a sort of pseudo-"alt" slot in Eve that would let me see what FPS-boy was training, though. |

Maybe.
But, if you want "One Universe, One War", you eventually need "One Client". You would, however, need two pay methods for playstyle. Massive MMO crowd would want subscriptions. But, FPSers would balk at that.
Now, some may never want to be in a pod and only want to shoot in face.
However, for those wanting to actually pilot something (other than maybe a future twitch control atmosphere to beyond planet orbit scram jet type thing), the slow tactical nature and extreme industry of the Eve game would be available.
It would not be mandatory though. Some guy who is glued to a Titan and king poobah of a multi thousand member alliance probably ever step planetside. But the option would be there.
You could be the guy that travels the universe with a gun!
Such things make "one universe". The existance of "Yes, you can do this". |
