Your posting actually makes me want to go into the help channel and put bounties on people. The only reason being that people like you are annoyed by it.
Also I'm gonna make the bounties 301k, so they don't show up in the weird and pointless statistic you want. In this case the correct answer truly is: 'the logs show nothing' |

while this is interesting
HOW does the new usage of bounties compare to past usage?
didnt see any comparisons made
also could you in the future use shades of color that arent in the same part of the color family? Usually for a graphic primary colors are used I guess because they contrast vs one another so you can tell them apart when the color key to the graph is measured in mm X mm. Real gamers arent into fuschia
and fyi graphs are used to make info more easy to understand or to convey a point-the reader should NOT have to analyze that the color key goes clockwise from largest to smallest -->if that were the case you could just use one color

By looking for numbers in this way you are tainting the information with your own question. There is no way to link the placing of a bounty to the motivation for that bounty. Trying to figure this out from the information available (i.e.: timestamped chat logs alongside bounty logs) will obliterate what information was out there, because you are attempting to filter through a clearly biased set of constraints.
Your urgent desire to have this information will taint the information even further, since you will use such numbers as "proof" that people being victimised for posting in Help chat.
Why is it so important to you to form this link? Did you get a bounty placed on you while you were chatting in Help?

Punkturis, you are one of the cooler Dev's in my mind, please don't lose it by being like the others and avoiding the answers you don't want to know. I was being serious.. we don't know that someone had bounty placed on him because he was in the help channel.... A non-sarcastic answer would be "nnnn people have bounties of 300k or less, but we do not know why they got those bounties placed on them." Or even better: "nnnn people had bounties of 300k or less placed on them while they had the Help channel up, but we do not know why they got those bounties placed on them." Edit: Or even better: "nnnn people had bounties of 300k or less placed on them within 5 minutes of chatting in the Help channel, but we do not know if their chat activity was the cause of them getting a bounty".
sorry if you got the feeling I was being sarcastic in my reply because this time I wasn't, I thought his request was a literal request and as I said we don't have that information.
had the question been "how many bounties were placed with 100k ISK" I could have replied that is information we have and we might look into displaying it

CCP Punkturis, I wouldn't be surprised to find that mynna & the GSF finacial cabal have very carefully reverse engineered the bounty payouts and know what impact their market manipulation will have on bounties paid out during their coming firefights in nullsec*. They probably know the bounty calculation better than the people who wrote the code at CCP (because those people have moved on to other projects and forgotten how that code works).
Never underestimate the capabilities of bored smart people!
* we'll have some better idea of how well they've modelled it if Goons start ordering weird combinations of ships in "doctrine" fleets in order to maximise the bounties received vs ISK value of ships lost ratio. Day 0 advice for new players: Day 0 Advice for New Players |

Weird combinations of ships, like tempest fleet issues?

Characters that have logged in within the last 7 days with personal bounties on them 11.7%
Characters that have logged in within the last 7 days with any bounty on them 13.3% Seriously? .. I check local and help chat player profiles constantly any well over half of the current people in each system and in each npc corp chat have WANTED signs on them and bounties on them. Last week, one night in Couster, I looked at all of them and every bloody one had a bounty on them. Most of them hadn't even been playing a full day... |

Well, assuming that the NPC corp chat consists of a small proportion of people who ever speak in corp chat, both of them can be quite right :)
Only 11.7% of players have personal bounties. What if less than 10% of the players in NPC corps ever use corp chat? Then you'd easily find that "everyone" in NPC corp chat has a bounty, because NPC corp chat only lists the people who have spoken recently. On any night, my alts will see corp chat has about 200 people subscribed, but only a half dozen or so will actually be talking (and even then, most of the chat will be emitted by two or three people).

So now how about a couple of new star-map settings to go with these stats? :D
- Number of active pilots in space with bounties in last 30 minutes
- Number of active pilots in space with bounties in last 24 hours
- Total ISK value of bounties on active pilots in space with bounties in last 30 minutes
- Total ISK value of bounties on active pilots in space with bounties in last 24 hours
Would be awesome to see real-time heat maps of where all the juiciest bounties are concentrated! |

1,79 Trillion ISK 1 PLEX is ~600m That makes bounty totals equal to ~3000 PLEX. 1 PLEX is 19.95 EUR.
That means 60,000 EUR bounty value.

There is a button "Give ISK" right to the button "Place bounty", so if someone who does really care may just go to the help chat and start to suport those who spend their time helping newbies. |

Would be awesome to see real-time heat maps of where all the juiciest bounties are concentrated! This could be a part of the existing maps, do we want to see pod kills in the last hour or do we want to find the bounties? It would be a tool that would help the bounty hunters that would be easy to implement.
I would also like to see a distribution chart of the count of ISK amount of total bounties in each player. I would suggest some leveling to improve readability. The scale may need to be logarithmic. The resulting curve can be in pink. |
