I was reading an article somewhere (lost the link) that if you unrent an office whilst having jobs (Manufacturer/Science) in that station queue, the items would go to the corp hanger on completion and therefore be impounded.
Trying to confirm if this is the case even when the delivery was set to go to personal hanger and wasn't started from a corp hanger.
Any help appreciated, thanks. |

No.
If you unrent an Office there is no Corp Hangar in existence for it to even put anything into. If started in Personal, it will be deposited into Personal.

Hey Krixtal,
Thnx for that.
Although I demand proof on the final statement that CCP is not that mean. :-)

As the Proof would involve discussing an 'incident' at FanFest last year, I am reluctant to go there as thread will turn into a trolling threadnaught. America is the only country to go from barbarism to decadence (and back to barbarism - KI) without civilization in between. - Oscar Wilde - 1870's |

impounding doesn't mean it's gone forever, just means you have to pay to get it back from the station. i've had to get stuff out of impound at a station, but never after a job, so can't confirm/deny that.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Towards the bottom of this article:
http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Assets
Implies that Assets are only impounded if rent is unpaid. If Office is cancelled, I assume any Corp started jobs will appear in CEO's Hangar (?). America is the only country to go from barbarism to decadence (and back to barbarism - KI) without civilization in between. - Oscar Wilde - 1870's |

Yeah Rengerel, I have had items impounded before when I came back from a 6 month break. Paid the bill and got it released.

Yeah Krixtal,
It was a similar article I read. That seems to apply to corp assets not sure if personal is affected as well. When running a job I never have start and delivery sites set to corp hangers, always personal so I would presume it should go where it always goes, into my own hanger.
The thing that has me wondering though is, when you select option to unrent an office, you get a message saying you could lose the jobs in the queue, that led me to search out what happens. Got a job coming due in a couple of hours so will see what happens to that and rerent office or pay impound fee if needed.

Interesting.

I don't know if it has been changed, but previously the finished jobs would go to the inaccessible office, and you'd have to get a GM to fetch the items / BPOs.
When you rent an office, you are given a unique ID, and never the same one twice, so you can't re-rent the same office even though you can re-rent an office in the same station. Also, re-renting an office would make it impossible for a GM to access the old office with your stuff. |

Heya.
Just to confirm, a manufacture job does drop into the personal hanger when complete after you have closed an office. I presume the impound thing does only apply when it's a corp job. Didn't have any science jobs in queue to see what happens to those.
If a Dev does read this I wouldn't mind knowing why you get that warning message when unrenting an office where you have jobs in the queue. Just for future reference because I couldn't find anything that expands on the warning.
