Well ... you have some ok gunnery skills, and it seems like fairly good cruise missiles. not being a big missile fan myself, im not really sure how good your skills are there.
Because you dont have any real armor skills and are doing shields i sould suggest looking into the minmatar line of ships. autocannons (of which you have t2 available) are very nice for missions as the can get pretty much all rat orbits in their range (though because its minmatar and fight in fall off and not in optimal you might want to read up on gun mechanics a bit).
I would suggest starting (in eft or pyfa) with a tempest and seeing how that fits with your skills. resist + rep and lows mostly full of things that will help your damage. (gyros and tracking enhancers)
For level 3 missions run a t2 fit hurricane till you are comfortable enough with mission mechanics to jump into the tempest.
Your lack of drone skills is troubling as they are your gtfo card in a heavy scram frigate mission. (when they are under your guns tracking sometimes you can distract the scram frigs with drones and run, or kill them with drones and run).
because you have the gallente/minmatar skill split and the autocannon training with shields as your tank it looks like you were going for the macharil as your end goal. which is a pretty sweet ship, but you are many skills short of flying that efficiently .
Hope that helps Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

train battlecruisers to 4 or better 5 then fly an articane. destroys lvl3s and has no otrouble with small targets (unlike the raven).

I checked your Eveboard.
-You have T2 medium autocannons and artilleries. -You are close to having T2 Heavy (medium) missiles. -You shield tank.
The right answer in my opinion is: get Battlecruisers to V ASAP and buy a Cyclone.
It will serve you well now, and if by time the Battlecruiser tiericide you are still doing Lvl 3s, it will be a BEAST afterwards. |

drake wouldn't be bad... anything more than a BC is overkill ofr lvl 3s...
if you use missiles, get warhead upgrades.... you're losing damage otherwise when just a few hours could get you a significant DPS increase.
I'd also recommend training your energy management and operations skills to at least lvl 4. Train TNP and guided missile precisions as well.... so... it seems your gunnery skills are better than your missile skills, and your armor tank skills aren't great, so you can go with minmatar or caldari ships.
Just... no ravens for lvl 3s, especially without the skills to let it hit smaller targets better, and especially with those horrendous drone skills.... If you fly anything cruiser or larger, you really should have drones trained to lvl 5, and drone interfacing to 3-4

Battleships aren't simply overkill for Level 3's; they're generally the wrong tool for the job. A gunboat or missile battleship generally has trouble with anything smaller than a battlecruiser, and most of the opposition in Level 3's will be battlecruisers and smaller. Drone boats can probably fare better, but then you slam into the Retribution AI issue.
Battlecruisers will be getting seriously shaken up with the Retribution 1.1 patch, so I won't hazard a guess as to which one would be best-suited... |

Your drone skills are severely lacking. You should train those up some more. They can be what kills the warp scramming frig that has you pinned when your tank is breaking because you messed up a mission trigger.
Based on your skills I would say Cyclone and Hurricane, for the reason of tech II arties and acs. Also, you should get BC to 4 asap. |

Well, yes they are the wrong tool, but no, they don't necessarily have trouble. - High end ones like the Vindi or Kronos can web the heck out of anything, and thus hit them (match traversal). Auto machs are fast enough to get traversal right. I use a nightmare, and it can take down the frigates before they get close-
*** if they do get close, thats what drones are for, I'll reiterate what has already been said, improve your drone skills!!! ***
However, we now have a powerful tool - the microjump drive, which the NPC scrams do not stop. Frigate gets on top of you? microjump, traversal problems are gone.... blap them all.
The BSs are slow and ungainly for such missions, but their DPS and tank is what is "overkill" - it may be a bit tricky to apply that DPS
Get battlecruisers to IV ASAP, and get all the cruiser skills to 3... the BC skills will son be split into racial types, and required for unlocking the racial BSs. Given that you're not committed to a single race, getting those skills now can save you a lot of training later. |

Nice thanks for the info :D
training battlecruisers to IV then will start working on drone skills after, I didnt think drones was much of a importance really unless you had a drone boat.
I have a crane already fitted with t2 weapons maybe I can get some practice with it later tonight even tho last time I tried it never could handle lvl 3s maybe this time it will :) |

for drone boats, you want the ability to use the T2 drone upgrades (drone damage amps, omni tracking links, maybe nav computers, drone link augmentors, etc) - you also want to get scout drone operation and electronic warfare drone operation to extend your drone control range, you'll want high level drone specalization, heavy and sentry drone operation... trained to lvl 5 so you can use the T2 variants... etc
All that isn't needed for most non-drone boats - but at cruiser or larger, they still do have drone bays, and there is no reason not to carry and use them, so you do want some basic drone skills tat allow effective use of light and medium drones.
What you want for a typical cruiser or larger, is drones 5, to allow you to launch 5 drones at a time (as all BSs can hold 5 drones, and most cruisers and BCs can)- this also unlocks drone interfacing, a massive DPS boost from your drones (20% per level). Drone control range isnt so important, as you'll just want these drones to clear the close range scramming frigates. You may still want to get scout drones operation to V so you can use the T2 light and medium drones.
Also, as you will be (or should be) using them on cruiser or larger ships - you should at least get a few levels of drone durability/sharpshooting/navigation and combat drone operation, the first level or three doesn't take long to train (though for some reason durability is a rank 5 skill, the others are rank 1 and 2 for combat drone operation)
If you were flying a drone boat, I'd tell you to get them to 4 or 5 - but as you aren't, the payoff from those skills is smaller - but there is still a payoff, so spend a few hours getting a couple levels in those skills |
