While I am scanning something, the planets get on the way every so often. When I am trying to move a probe, no, it pops up a list of planets or other entities. But when I am probing, of course I want to move the probes around, not check what planets etc there might be. Also I get the results of probing in a separate dialog...
One nice solution to this would be that set all planet icons etc to the background. I will move the probes away, if I want to see any planets by any chance. The probing UI should be primarily for probing, anyway. I have never needed to check any planets in the probing window.
The same primary / secondary goes to many other things too. For example on a wreck "open" command should be high in the menu instead of several others that I rarely use. |

Even locking to a wreck is now higher than open though there is not much reason to blow loot up. It's actually a harder problem than it looks: some of us use the pop-up planet listings :) |

With regards to the planet information popping up you can disable what information is shown by opening the map (f10), then selecting the 'Solar System Map' tab. In this tab you can enable/disable various map features such as planets and stations by clicking on the 'eye' icon.

Thanks for reminding me about this. I turned off moons from showing (cuz they're not really needed) - but I really need the other objects to be visible while probing for various reasons and it's too much of a hassle to uncheck and recheck all regularly, also we need to know where the planets are for a lot of combat probing and scnaning. The issue is unfortunately going to take more finesse to resolve than just that feature.

Thanks for the information, but I think the map gets pretty empty if I remove everything.
How about disable the autopopup or at least an option to disable it? I move the probes with left click, so any info could open with right click (or if you have the setting for autopopup on then with the autopopup).
I don't like the autopopupping in the star map either. There is so much autopopping that I feel like being in a popcorn machine. |

This would be very nice indeed.
It's useful to see the planets on the chart as references when scanning, but the popups are seriously annoying and always tends to get in the way when shuffling probes around.

Agreed. It's a major annoyance when probing. This needs moving to the improvements & suggestions forum though? |

it's not only the planets that pop up , it's the labels from the sigs already probed out previously/visited - there is no way to turn these off and in a system that has 20-30 sigs mostly centered in the middle of the system which happens a lot it's a real pain.
interfers with me grabbing the arrows, even the core probes pop up to let me know they're on my map
I tried turning them off but you can't. CCP should allow us to turn them off like the "Hide All Bracket" function so we get a clearer view of what we're doing, so only sigs not probed to 100% may be shown. Basically, NO MORE LABELS.

Thank you. The labels do need a switch to turn them off, yes. It's quite a chore working around them when you are digging through a pile of 30-odd sigs in a system that may only have a radius of 10AU or so. |

perhaps add the signature labels to that list of items allowed to be canceled from view - thanks likes watching grown men cry-á (Gò»n+¦Gò¦,) |
