Hey everyone!
I'd like to share this .zip file with POS Tower and POS Module data from the Data Dump: Click Here to Download
I've been working on sifting through the EVE Data Dump (which is Retribution_1.0.7_463858_db.zip as of the time I'm writing this) in an effort to consolidate all the POS-related data in one place. This ends up requiring some pulling from the invTables, dgmTypeAttributes, and dgmAttributeTypes tables.
I finally got this to work using some SQL Queries and Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (from Microsoft SQL Server 2012).
For the .csv files, I just saved the results of each query as a .csv - make sure that under Query Options you have "Include column headers when copying or saving the results" checked if you want those column names there. I then used SQLite Database Browser to import those .csv files as tables to make my .db file.
Here are pastebins of my POS Mod Query and my POS Tower Query. You can also find these queries in my .zip file.
The tricky parts were 1) consolidating all the entries in the dgmTypeAttributes table so that there was only one entry per item and 2) pulling data from both the valueInt and valueFloat columns of the dgmTypeAttributes table. These queries might also prove to be a useful starting place if you are looking at other EVE items like ships and modules since they show ways to handle those two tricky problems.
I'm posting this here in the hope that it will help others who are trying to wade through the EVE Data Dump. |

As cool as that would be, no, this is about getting the key data about POS towers and mods - things like anchoring time, onlining time, capacity, pg, cpu, etc. - from the various places it is scattered around in the data dump and consolidate it into one place. This is also useful to look at it you want to similarly pull data together for other items, like ships and modules.
For the contents of POS modules (like the items inside a CHA) you'd have to look into the Corporation Asset List API. |
