recently started to run lvl4s for fun. My agent keeps sending me into nearest low-sec.
First time i got it i rejected. But next time i decided to check if it is doable. Scouted with alt system: 3 in local. Ok. Accept, jump, warp, ..., warp out, profit. It was easy.
But next time i found like 10 people in local. Some of them was on undock. Warped to spot with my alt in capsule and waited for some time to check if these guys active or not. Few minutes ago - combat probes in space.
Then i declined mission. Because in resular lvl4 i will need to sit in one place for like 20-30 minutes which is pretty enough to scan me down. Yes, i warped out and all this stuff. But pirate already has bookmark to mission and he will just wait for me to come to finish it.
Let's say i use battleship with drones. Using cloak? Ok, i see probes, i need to hide. Well i will need some time to get drones back, get out of nearest NPCs and cloak away. It's doable but.... Let's say i win and scanner didn't get warpable point. Ok. He will wait until me got bored and uncloaked. And i will wait until he bored and leaves me alone. This will get worse if i miss the chance and let him scan me down. Then we continue in mission area.
This will be the game "who will die of boredom first". And i only have 1-2 hours after working day. It's no fun to spend it this way.
So the question: what would you do to run these lvl4s in system when somebody will want (possibly) to hunt you?

There are better agents that send you to lowsec less often. If you run caldari missions, there's an area where there's like 4 agents really close to each other so you can just pick up 4 missions and do them, and if one agent gives you a lowsec and you decline, not a problem. Move to the next agent.
(At this point I suggest you reword your question to finding a better level 4 agent that won't send you to lowsec so often, and mitigate the difficulties when it does, and put that question into the missions subforum). |

Lowsec border systems are the worst. Either go to deep highsec so you never get sent to lowsec, or if you enjoy the plunge go towards deep lowsec. Though the hubs with 4+ security agents in one station will have scanners, there are plenty of stations with one or two agents in deep lowsec were you can mission fairly unbothered - since anyone probing you is most likely roaming through, they'll lose patience and move on as soon as you dock up when you see their probes on scan.
But I'm guessing for the casual playstyle, just find an agent that is no where near lowsec. |

It's not that i'm scared of low-sec but i have no experience of doing missions there.

If you are running Lev4's in low sec and want to remove some danger - the safest low sec place to run them is in Black Rise.
As long as you fit good high meta modules you will be 100% safe as no one would dare want to take on a pimped mission fit battleship in low sec. Just don't be a cheapass with your fit and all will work out perfectly.
Hykanima is a good spot to park your Battleship in Black Rise - saves travel time.

OP, you will get ganked. People make their livings off low sec mission runners. If you want that sort of risk skill up and find a C2 or C3 wormhole. And use Drakes because you will get ganked there too (but only takes a few of anomalies to pay for it). |

Unless you are part of a pvp entity that controls the space - you don't. Just don't do it.
You are in a pve ship, you will come across pvp fit targets.
Feel free to take other people's advice about pimping your BS though - though let me know when you do it :) |

Stay out of low sec border systems in a PVE ship, it's definitely the most dangerous space in the game for you (other than jita).
In a battleship, you can be scanned down in seconds. |

Confirming hykanima is the safest place four your officer fit battleship. You can even run the level 4 security missions from the bottom station there.

I run lvl 4s in a Naga every now and then, works fine and I am quick enough to run from scanners if needed. And if they catch me: Its only a BC. |

How do you deal with tracking disruptors/jammers/sensor dampeners? (this is offtop here but 1-2 posts wouldn't too bad i guess) |

Running missions in low or null isn't a problem. Only problem is to move in and out with a battleship. I'd just set a dedicated ship in some quit low or NPC null sec mission hub and get mission from local agents, they pay more, mostly as LP.
The mission itself is pretty safe: have only to not fall asleep (that+¼'s the main risk with missions) and check for combat probes. Beside, if the mission is gated is almost a safe area.
And after some time you know the local, and who is out there to mind his own business and who is there to chase you.

I am in Blood space, so I deal with Tracking disruptors by kiting out to 90 km and snipe this damn frigates to pieces as they lose lock (at last the TD disappears). I am actually using a PvP fitted Naga btw. sometimes I have to warp in and out and I play very active, but it works and the LP for Lowsec Missions are very good. |

I suggest you use a T3 for low sec missions. It takes more time to be scanned than a battleship so usually you'll have some time to react if you see probes in space. Only accept missions in low sec if that system has a station. If it does, you can travel to that system using covert ops cloak + subsystem, dock, refit and then warp to your mission spot. Same thing if you want to use a battleship. Fit mwd and cloak to travel and refit in your mission system. |

As said before, don't mission near border systems, these are the most populated. Go very deep into low sec and it's much much safer since there's hardly any people |

Become the lowsec pirate, and enjoy being the entity that other would be hunters would fear :)
Generally this involves being a part of a corp that lives in a certain area and has achieved dominance through various pvp encounters.
Doesn't mean you're safe, but definitely increases your odds of survival. |

After all it (trying to run lvl4s in low-sec with local piwates) looks like wasting of a time.

Well you dont like easy mode.
Well then get you battleship into the mission using your alt as scout.
Once in, turn your D-Scan range down to 2.000.000 and hit it every 2 sec. Anything on D-Scan and you can warp to a safespot, station and your high sec gate, to come back later to finish the mission.
There is no way to start pick a fight inside a mission, if you have to tank the NPCs and fight a blob of 6-10 people.
I belive btw the unpropeable Tengus and Lokis are history and got fixed a year ago.
I would however recoment using a T3 ship, as its more agile and easier to get out if needed. Nisroc Angels Nisroc - Angel of Freedom Nisroc is known as "The Great Eagle".
