" Tackling Armor Tanking
To properly balance these ships meant revisiting the systems they rely on, specifically Armor Tanking. Skill and module adjustments have been made to improve Armor Tanking, both active and passive, to balance it with other defensive approaches. The most notable changes are:
Armor Rigs - Active armor tanking rigs increase the Powergrid use of armor repairers instead of reducing ship velocity.
Armor Plates GÇô The mass penalty of 50mm, 200mm, and 800mm plates has been reduced by 20%.
Armor Repairers GÇô Powergrid usage of Armor Repairers has been reduced by 10% for medium modules and 20% for large modules.
Armor Honeycombing GÇô This new skill reduces the mass penalty on armor plates by 5% for each level trained. " Life is short and dinner time is chancy Eat dessert first! |

This one fits quite well. Even with the new active armor rigs having a power grid penalty now. Reps 1018 omni DPS for 1minute or 560 omni DPS without heat and nanite.
Ofc one could argue about fitting autocannons. But as far as I know it is quite common on the triple rep Myrm. I'd fit 4 electrons and a small neut instead. Or a drone link in case I want to use sentries, plenty of CPU left. |

Dual rep 2.0, I alway liked dual repper more because of the easier cap management and better resists, not to mention dps. MAAR might make the tank actually sufficient. RAH bumps the tank well into triple rep region against single opponents (and multiple opponents with same weapons).
[Myrmidon, MAAR] NEW Medium Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste Medium Armor Repairer II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II Damage Control II Reactive Armor Hardener

Testing will ensue, the drone bw/bay is really very nice now.

I'd like a DDA II rather than that Reactive. Vote for Malcanis for CSM8 https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=192717&find=unread |

Yeah, DDA II fits, it just means giving up more tank than you gain in damage.
If we ever get RAH II, or MAAR II, then I'd trade one EANM II for drone damage, but currently I don't think the amount of tank from just MAAR+MAR is enough for typical engagements* without the RAH.
* I regard the active Myrm purely as a solo ship, looking for solo targets.

Triple rep Prophecy works better now. You get an extra low and the resistance bonus. Only drawback is no web. |
