just a small question....
say im in a gang of 10 people with a dreadnought, we are sat in system A pilot X has generated a cynosural field in system B
if the dread uses its jump drive to jump to system B can/does the rest of the gang follow the dread though the jump or do they have to progress by themselves to the next system?

Edited by: Albert Schwartz on 31/07/2005 21:32:47 since none of the other ships actually have a jump drive i imagine it will be impossible for them to "jump"

so to move capital ships you have to split the gang up?

anything else then only the dread jumping would be quite unbalancing. imagine a fleet of 50 ships jumping in the homesystem of an alliance ignoring 4 gatecamps on the way. all because 1 covops ship setup the field in a safespot

cept that when you activate a Cyno field gen, anyone in the system can warp right to you, and you show up on the overview~
personally, i would think that you should already have the fleet waiting for you on the other end... but being able to jump a whole fleet would be sweet... is it gonna happen? probably not..

Edited by: Exile Devaltos on 01/08/2005 18:00:24 When are Titans coming out? They have been talking about them for over a year now.. I will be really dissapointed if they are small They had better be 20 or 30 times larger than a Dreadnought. Otherwise how could the Amarrians spend a century building there? Unless they really suck at ship building

I remember an old devblog mentioning towards the end of this year. But who knows for certain. Microsoft said the same thing for the next version of Windows 2 years ago.

Titans have been talked about since release...
They where suppose to come in with the december patch back in 2003. What ya know its nearly 2 years later and nothing still :)
As for fleet jumping. I thought it was mentioned in the dev blog that a Dread could open up a wormhole to let the fleet jump through. Then the dread could jump in after the fleet went through the worm hole. It was mentioned once or twice. Sweet feature but definatly balanceing issues would have to be worked out. --------------------------------------------------- Ummm ya.... |
