Hi guys, I have almost maxed my mining skills and my retriever is is making me 8-12 millions per hours .I 'm ready to take maelstorm since i really got bored hurricane in level 3 missions cause the missions couldn't harm me more than 1/3 of shield and the isk weren't worth it.I only got once a 5 million weapon that i sold in more than 30-40 missions. So are level 4 missions worth it and will i make more than 12 million per hour? |

Let me give you a word of advice if you don't have enough SP, and you just go guns blazing into a level 4 you will lose your ship, on your first mission. |

However, if you prepare yourself and learn what you need to, Level 4s will earn you more isk than mining But don't expect that straight away until you have the right skills and personal experience |

Generally I find that I can make double the isk doing level IV missions than mining even if I get a boost from a friendly Orca. However I have a lot of experience, great skills and a pimped ship to do this. In time you'll make more missioning. But you wont be semi-afk and taking a bio break in the middle can get expensive. Be patient and you'll grow your isk-making capabilities either way. |

Guys I could do some level 4 missions with my cane since i had learned how the ship works distances for my guns etc.But I said why not get something better .I read that they are people who make 1 billion per week from level 4 missions .Also if i can't do blockade missions it wouldn't harm me until I get better skills. |

Also since I hate projectile guns cause you must be in correct range to hit what you think of typhoon and what torpedoes do?
Typhoon gets kinda crap range with torpedoes. It can be made to work as a cruise/artillery boat though. The Maelstrom solidly outperforms it in missions. |

1 bil per week doing lvl 4 missions? well its possible depending on the hours you dedicate yourself in this. typically you make about 30-60mil per hour. |

sounds about right. the minimum I would take would be about 20m/hour. if you are making less than that (don't forget to count lp!) either your skills are pretty low, or you just don't have enough mission experience, but since you seem to be bored with level 3s you should be able to move up rather easily I'd think. |

You better invest some more SP into projectiles and you will love them. Sit on the Maelstrom, train Security connections to maximize your LP income, choose agent in system with lowest ss possible (0.5.-0.6 ideal for high-sec). If you do this you will have your 50-75kk isk per hour (yes forum warriors, I'm counting your bounties+ clean income from LP conversion). 20000 LP - average amount of points easily achievable per hour on Maelstrom in Minmatar region.

I make roughly double from missions in my golem than I get from mining in a max hulk with max orca alt. And that's without doing the faction missions, which give more isk (tags) but hurt standings.
It helps to grind standings with multiple corps so you can decline the crap missions and cherry-pick the good ones, moving around from agent to agent.
A billion isk in a week from missions would certainly be doable, but it would be a grind. You can make a billion in a day doing HQ incursions, fwiw. |

Maelstrom with 1200's i think is the best option.
With L4 BS and T2 shield skills (meta 4 XL booster though) you should be able to reach the tank to handle L4's. T2 light drones also reccomend.
I think the tank for L4's was something like 400?, and around 500 dps. You can easily reach that with scout arty, faction ammo and sub par skills. Maelstrom try's to keep range so you won't rely on the full tank, the ship is not cap stable and you have to pulse booster when needed. Split the arty into groups of 4 (lower skills) and those groups of 4 should pop 2 frigs at a time from range.
Focus on small frigs untill you get confidence that your ship does not need to warp out, ever. Once confident you can start ganking bc/cruisers instead to limit dps to the point you won't need to warp out anyway.
Use mission guides to understand the triggers, they realy count in L4 especialy with a ship not cap stable.
Also look into overloading skill if you don't already have it. If you start braking into armor overload shield hardeners and pray you kill the scram frig before the enviteble.
Also try remember, since you pulse tank it's perfectly ok if your eft tank to that faction reads something like 600/700 (it's not too much). You are not cap stable so the extra tank levels out lower. |

Don't bother with Navy Typhoon. Not until CCP get rid of dual specialization. Reason: you need to invest a lot of SP in gunnery and missiles, you need to invest a lot of ISK in working fit with average tank and average dps. You better get Mach

It is not hard to obtain more than 12 mil/h. Realisticly: 50 m/h is obtainable, with a upper limit of 80 mil/h on average. However, tank skills and at least level IV in most gunnery skills make running L4's a bit SP-expensive. Besides that, a navy type ship is recommended if you want to solo missions [if you really want to try and get as much isk/h, you need a pirate BS] |

In case of typhoon "dual specialization" means one bonus to projectiles and one to torpedoes/cruise missiles. So to get most out of boni you have to be highly skilled in both weapon systems. There are plans/rumors that in battleships tiercide typhoon will become full missile ship so you would need master only missiles and be good in it.
Mach is Machariel and yes it it expensive in comparison to t1 BS like typhoon or it's faction version. But I can tell you that ship is excellent L4 machine, totally worth it's price. With that being said you really need high gunnery skills (large ac/arty specializations at 4/5, same for supports) and Minmatar/Gallente Battleships skills at least at 4, high navigation and shield tank skills to make it shine. Oh, and faction gyros would be nice due to bonus and fitting and at least 3 of them which adds approx 300mil to the fit :)
I made 1,7bil running L4s in maelstrom then I switched to Mach (which is still fitted with only t2 mods, nothing shiny) so you don't have to go shiny at very beginning. In fact you shouldn't do that without skills and experience. I am not my skills but... http://eveboard.com/pilot/Schmata_Bastanold |

There are a few levels of incursions. Vangauard, Assault, HQ, and then the mom.
HQ sites take a fleet of about 40 pilots, although you can use more. They take around 15-20 minutes to complete, and every pilot gets 31M isk per site (less if using more than 40 pilots). You also get loyalty points.
If you have a good fleet, you can bang out 4 sites an hour, which is 120M in isk plus the loyalty points. Run them for 7-8 hours and you've made a billion. |
