I, personally have never used Dust.
However, I would like to propose these two ideas and get some player feedback.
An idea that was recently proposed to me, and is consistent with EvE's gameplay format, would open the worlds of Dust and elevate them to a more open and free roam enviroment for players to engage in.
Having NPC instances, for example, that create war districts for Dust players to engage in would broaden the scope and potential gains of this newly introduced enviroment.
Allowing players a free roam enviroment through which to engage in, would also improve indepth game play and grant them a new aspect of EvE in which to explore and hone their skills.
Dust would may also benefit by having a smaller group of elected CSM representatives that understand its intricacies and what improvements, their form of gameplay, require to make it more appealing to a wider audience, and presenting it to CCP on the same level that the current CSM does.
Dust is another world, from another perspective in EvE, and it deserves attention just the same as all other respective forms of gameplay in the EvE universe. So, why would it not have its own representatives on CSM as well? |

It would be grand if the trade Hubs in EVE were able to be visited in DUST for your supplies. The market and expansion of DUST still has a long ways to go. Personally though I can see your ideas being grand, and in order for DUST and EVE to merge successfully there needs to be a decent market gain and support for DUST beyond the mechanics of FPS Multiplayer matches.
Free roam would best support this. Would it not be fun to be able to just explore continents of this planet? (Wormhole, Null etc.) Or visit a major city in the EVE Lore? How about being able to build your own assault rifles or tanks using Planetary Mining or industry?
All great ideas and features that would support and boost the link between EVE and DUST. |

All great ideas and features that would support and boost the link between EVE and DUST. Eventually i would hope DUST could be migrated to an improved/unFUBAR'ed CARBON so that DUST/EVE characters can both be in the same room together, doing the same stuff. nothing like a corporation leader giving the battleplan with a huge holo-map of a planet/system, pointing out where the capsuleers will come in from, and where the DUST soldiers will be fighting, map-strategy, and whatnot.
(granted something like this would be absolutely years away, it would still be cool. espeically the 3D map idea. maybe have a DUST recon team or a EVE recon ship do a survey of the planet-district youll be fighting in so you can get a basic layout of how those players have setup their base with the terrain, and then use the map to show DUST players where and how they should attack).
actually on that last point, maybe CCP should look into defenders getting a "central" spawnpoint (as in inside the base) and attackers can choose between multiple places along the edge of the map and terrain to use as their intial deployment zone. would definetly make sense. maybe one area has more cover for troops to mvoe up, but until you secured a frontline past the cover, you wouldnt have much room to call in vehicles, or a mountianous region that is poor for vehicle or infantry movement but provides ample terrain cover for dropship oeprations. stuff like that.
*edit: wow i really went into a rant there. kinda wish i had a PSN account so i could post some ideas on the DUST forums, but alas i cannot because of my lack of money for a playstation. oh well, maybe i can convince a buddy to post for me. |

I have a dust toon and the game is very good fun, I certainly look forward to a full integration between eve & dust. Ground pounders should play an important part in taking and holding sov. Dust toons should be able to operate on and take control of moon based mining operations. So the need for maps on more then just temperate planets should be a priority. Dust514 operations need to be expanded beyond factional warfare systems, in corp dominated EVE space limiting them to factional warfare is counterintuitive in the extreme. Dust514 mercs like EVE capsuleers should be guns for hire, limited only by the logistical support chains they can establish. A combat pilot must have two goals to survive, -á#1 get the first shot in every fight , #2 get the last shot in every fight! |

The subject of the OP is correct, Dust514 players need a CSM to represent them and their aspirations to CCP. CCP must soon recognize keeping Dust514 players as second class citizens will not long be possible. Dust514 players deserve to have our voices heard and benefitted with the opportunity to express our needs, wants , and wishes directly to CCP management as EVE Online players do. A combat pilot must have two goals to survive, -á#1 get the first shot in every fight , #2 get the last shot in every fight! |

Dust 514 is handing picking its own version of the CSM formerly called the war council. They are more likely to deal with the issue.

You're assuming that the CSM won't make contact with the CPM?

You're assuming that the CSM won't make contact with the CPM? No, I was assuming maybe 3 new seats on the CSM for Dust players, not a seperate body.
I don't see what could possibly need an entire separate body, the economy will be a mediating entity between them as I understand it, and the Eve economy will outclass the Dust one hundreds, if not thousands to one.

Why not make a completely new council, like the Council of Universal Management, to combine both the councils for better interaction between the two? Immortality is overrated. |

You have no idea what is being said internally about this combined council.
Either ways CPM may have to delay contact by a week due to uprising launch and the storm that normally follows every launch. Maybe next week the CPM should be available for talks with the CSM.
