Okay... Now I know why calmil has so big (well it is pretended) organisational issues. Wanted to try out cal/gal fw space. Killed 2 wartargets in a 2vs1. All fine. Then 3 "friendlies" form some "Borg" alliance cal fw come in, loot my gal wrecks, I hope hey they won-¦t shoot blues... Nah they killed me.
Dear caldari militia. If you never again want new recruits and never again new members then this is the right behaviour. You have to fear the cals more than the gals as amarr^^ Total fail. Congrats.

The only awoxing incident I've heard of in GalMil so far is shooting someone who ran from a plex fight, then came back and accused another pilot of "stealing" his plex LP.

Are you not Amarr militia? If so why would you expect Caldari not to shoot you? I mean I get your technically on the same side but most people do not see it that way. I always get attacked by non blue minnies when I head down there. It just something you have to deal with and prepare your overview for.
You could look at it like I do, just means more **** to shoot I think if CCP wanted us to not shoot each other they would give a standings hit like they do when you shoot people in the same militia. derp? |

This problem is actually quite widespread.

The default overview setting is terrible and should be changed, though.

I'm thinking this is some sort of troll or misdirection. When I was in militia we didn't shoot our allies unless there was good reason or a mistake.
The default overview is something ccp should just fix. Everytime you need to reinstall eve you have to go through the same drill again.

Fweddit smack is easily sorted you just block their entire Alliance. It makes local so much quieter and can lead to the formation of strangely pleasing, surreal and one sided conversations on occasion. NBSI shall be the whole of the Law |

My experience is that they are pretty much the same.
I prefer the minmatar amarr space because I know it better and because there are fewer gate camps. The main advantage of the caldari gallente space is there seems to be more numerous hot spots you can go to.
I can't say there are fewer boosters and blobs in cal gallente space my limitted experience suggests there may be slightly more.
I see no difference in the quality of smack talk.

Well my experience during the last days was that these are 2 completely different warzones. You get less fights but you also get more 1vs1 fights. I soloed a Thorax today in a hookbill. Something like that is almost unthinkable in amarr/minnie fw because the minnies will almost always drop some sfi on you before you finish your target. I once almost chewed down a vex in my hook and then I got ganked by sfi and rifter^^. Feeling of these 2 warzones is really completely different. Seems in cal/gal are also a lot more pirates. After almost 9 months amarr fw and some days cal/gal I have the feeling amarr/minnie is for people who prefer big fleet fights while cal/gal is more for small roams/ small gang. Amarr/minnie fw systems have always that "overpopulated" feeling while in cal/gal you almost feel like lonely in deep space. |

the reason amarr/minnie space feels so cramped is because the amount of systems are small and everyones set up camp right next to each other most of both sides live like 1-2 systems apart. this is also why when u try and take someone down on either side back up usually arrives very fast because they dont have far to travel
where as in gal/cal space is much bigger and some corps/allance try to carve out a little area of there own which often makes ctas or calls for backup take longer to get to you
this is how it seems to me anyway i lived in gal space for 2 years moved to minnie space for a year and now gone back to gal GÖÑ HIGH FIVES GÖÑ-á |

You can export your overview settings. That way if you ever have to reinstall EVE, it will be a simple matter of importing the overview settings.

I keep a jump clone and ships in each war front so when one gets stale I can just jump to the other.
I just had 5 solo fights in a 1 hour lunch break in huola. So I think you will find that in both fronts there will be hot and cold times.
Also, anything 1 jump from kourm is a trap. When you get that expectation then you start to get used to it.
But the best indicator or whether you will be blobbed is how many are in local and on scan. Plexes pretty greatly mitigate the problem of blobbing. You can't get blobbed by sfis if you are in a small plex. Even when you are in a small plex and you see 3 ships on short scan you can always wait for one to jump in and then warp out. Then warp back to the plex and see if anyone is on the gate. You might be able to kill them before the others warp out and back. If all three are in there you can sit at the gate and see if any warp out. Then you can either jump in and fight or wait for the person to come back.
In the amarr front check out some of the less crowded but not dead systems like @evati, @resbroko, @Bosboger, @egmar, @Dal vard sisied ezzara, @frerstorn, aset, isbrata, arzad. Are all decent systems to hit and try to find fights in plexes. I don't typically have much luck in the bleak lands.
Anyway I dodn't see a whole lot of difference and in fact I would say the minmatar and amarr have been better at delivering fights. But then again I stay out of fw so I am have many more possibilities for plex fights since I am not blue to 40% of the people coming in plexes. Especially not while pointing a war target :P Well I could burn out. Somehow I have the impression that calmil is full of incompetent noobs that don-¦t know how to set up their overview right or simply people who really want everyone to scare out from joining caldari militia. |
