Ok its good to see that ppl can have these nice new things out in what is it .3 and below space? well what about something for the ppl who dont spend there EVE lives out in unsafe space? I was thinking of something for us small time ppl. I was doing a mission and saw a landing pad and its flooting here in a .7 system. Hmmmmm why cant i build one and put it out somewhere to use as a small base. Now Im not taking about having everything a station has, no lab slots or anything like that ( or maybe just one). Maybe be able to check escrow from it and land there to keep your items in it ( like loot or ore). Something small you know what i mean. From what Ive read the POS are great to have but cost alot to build and keep up ( well at the point Im at they cost alot lol. So why not something small? Give us something anyone who spends any fair amount of time playing the game something to call home. 1 landing pad can hold 2 ships maybe 3 with high skills, you can put them anywhere you can set a can. But you can only own 1 landing pad at a time ( maybe 2 with skills) this way we wont have them everywhere. And like a POS we could buy upgrades for them. The upgrade part in not sure about what would be cool to have Ill leave that up to the ppl who have been ingame longer then me :)
So tell me what you think.

Ta Chaina,
I made a post like that because I share the same idea and desire you have...like the landing pads or the habitats to be sold for more humble people without the need to actually have a corp. something that could be hauled with haul ship not freights. Something that would cost about a few millions but with lots of limitations compared to stations , POS or Outposts.
things could be added as modules...like hangers limited to diferent sizes for example, no more than 2 BS or no more than 10 frigates. and soo on....

I think people should be encouraged into going into lower sec space to be honest. Encourages pvp and more organised corporations especially those who mine.

I have been playing since the game was in beta, and what I have seen is time, and time again the reply "People should move to 0.0 to promote pvp." I have news for all the pvp'ers. Not everyone playes all the time, and those who have little time to play dont want to lose their stuff it took three months to get in, say two seconds. That is and allways will be the purpose of secure space. I dont think it fair to keep adding ten things for pvp'ers and one thing for people whom like to keep what they have. Not sure what will ever come of the safe space players. The original eve was sold on the idea, you could be a part of a mega-corp, or be solo and still be able to enjoy every feature the game has to offer. That lasted the first couple of patches.

Edited by: Karnifex on 01/09/2005 23:47:24 Well you dont seem to realise that pvpers risk alot more than carebears do in this game. So yes you say "i dont want to lose my ship that took me 3 months to get in" or whatever, but thats EXACTLY what pvpers do. You take the risks you should reap rewards.
This is one game where the developers have actually done a good job with the pvp. Just about every other mmorpg is built for carebears and pve folk.
If you are a non combat corp, hire some mercs to protect you it all adds to the game experience.

It is a paragraph one long paragraph so if you dont have anything good to say or add GO AWAY
As for the ppl who want pvp you have it out in 0.0 space so go get some... Where is the good pve I ask? oh yea its out in 0.0 space where ppl will force me to pvp. All i want is a little place to call my own in safe space or where ever I end up in this game and whats wrong with that?

I agree with Ta Chaina.
I want a place to go mine and dont need to get back to empire in short time. For crist sake there is places over there 10 jumps without ANY station!!! I want to setup up a little place were I can process my ore with my blender and stock the mins on my garage, were I can welcome some of my friends independent of wich corp they are.
Of course this is not soo safe because there is scanners and probes but to have the choice is soo interesting. And think about that there is too many systems in low sec that simply does not see one humble soul in days, perhaps weeks... too much place to hide and to search....this would not only rise the interest and participation of people in low sec but can also make it more interesting for pirates as well.
